i wanna see
I wanna see Dafni convert a Jato into a brushless Jato =)
thad be a real nice eye candy |
:D
When I saw this topic in the News section, I wanna see, I imagined you'll say something like "I wanna see a Jato", and I already pictured myself writing "and I wanna convert one". Yeah, that would be cool, indeed. I think one could make it haul on 7 or 8 cells. |
I thought about doing this when the Jato came out but my plate is full with the BL Evo and MBX5. Looking at the way the Jato transmission aligns with the motor/clutchbell, this will be an interesting task trying to mount the motor properly. You will also need a seperate brake servo unless you get a single speed conversion. This truck is screaming for Lipo's.
|
HAhaha
Mike can also make a chassis for the Jato after he finishes the Revo conversion chassis that would be great i would buy a jato instead of a t4 if mike comes out with a conversion for the Jato Jato with e-maxx tranny ?? 2 speed manual Jato hehe |
I would like the idea better if it would be a 4wd, though.
My plate is also full. If anything, I would go for an 1/8 buggy or HB Lightning or LST or ..... you see.:D Revo keeps me busy. |
I would definately do it... If I had the money. Anyone wanna buy me one so I can convert it just so you guys can see? :)
|
Now there's an avatar Dafni :D
Yup, the 1/8th buggies are fun. 4wd, center diff and fast. |
GET LIPOs MIKE!!! lol, you should sell some nitro engines to since you stockign up on nitro cars.
|
nbcaz, Mike can get you lots of things if you ask.
Starscream, yeah, eyecandy :) And a buggy would be nice, too. Dreams! |
I can get most anything, really. I am slowly building up the inventory to include many things, including nitro vehicles, motors etc. It takes time and money to build an inventory, though! I have quite a bit invested already, and re-invest every dollar to broaden the selection. There are just so many nice products out there, I could easily go bankrupt if I stocked everything I wanted to too quickly!

True, well so far..You doing a great job!
|
I'd love to see somebody do a gearbox conversion to flip the positions of the gears and make a motor plateto bolt on. I can make a chassis, i just don't know anybody who can do machine work WOW it worked. I've been having trouble tring to post
|
Does anybody know if fastlane machine would be interested in tying this?
|
3cell lipo + plettenberg BIGMaxximum + Jato + a ESC to go with BIGMaxx = Nitro Killing Stadium Truck
|
Don't overrate that bigmaxximum.. on 3S lipo it would be a bad choice of a motor too
|
On a Jato I would put a Lehner Basic XL or a Wanderer L (or S) and use the BK Warrior. And this would already be enough, with just 7 or 8 NiMH's. In fact I think this would be a bit too much.
No need for a Big Plett in this truck, really. |
The big is not efficient at those low voltages..
Dafni.. You reserved you.... Just throw in a 10-12 pack of the GP2200's and load it with an XL4200... can you say f a s t c a r... |
Sounds impressive. But it's still a 2wd truck. Would be insane, and hard to drive, I think.
4wd is better for serious BL conversions, in my opinion. |
Totally agree, 2wd is nice for fun, but everytime i run my mamba 8K on my mini-t with the 3S lipo i get reminded of this unstable behavior of the 2wd vs the 4wd..
Though an MT is not the thing to throw in the biggest BL setup either.. But you can at least TRY it.. ;) |
Are you suggesting On-Road RC to me?
Have you ever seen those 1/8 on road nitro cars, the ones with those Lola bodies?? They are wicked fast (even on nitro LOL). They have belts and a 2-speed, and top out at about 80mph with insane acceleration. Now this would be a challenge, would definitely turn some heads. |
I smell a nice object to play with..
I dont know what you mean with the lola body? Though i do like the offroad too much to invest in the onroad.. I meant with TRY it, to try a BIG setup on an MT |
Look here:
http://www.serpent.at/cars/950/950.html I also like off road better, for serious on-road you need a decent track, and some friends who have similar cars. How Big, Rene? Big as in Lehner 22XX?? |
thanks for the ideas, but what i want to know is, Is anybody thinking about making a gearbox for the jato that would move the position of the gears so that one could put the motor in a standard stadium truck position(like rc10,losi) so that weight would be better balanced?
|
not likely
|
The thoughts are there... Though there are so many things to make and try! the Jato is not very special to make BL.. i personally would prefer a 4wd with BL..
|
not to mention a 4wd will most likely handly alot better on the track than a 2wd.
|
You could use a basic 5300 and mgm 8012 with the two speed for a wicked top end and bottom end to spare
