Good look'in start.

jokerjustin 11.05.2007 11:17 AM

i would be kina worried about your battery thoug... i made a plasic box for mine and added foam around the entire inside. with it exposed like that if you roll over it wil lreally bang it up...and we all know lipos are delicate:whistle:

MetalMan 11.05.2007 11:30 AM

I'm guessing you shop at the Hobby People in Chino Hills?

Lookin' good so far!

drkros3 11.05.2007 12:34 PM

drkros3 11.05.2007 12:38 PM

MetalMan 11.05.2007 03:21 PM

I work at the HP in Fountain Valley. And I use that same battery in my Hyper 8, and 359 controls the steering. Good stuff!

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...3/DSC01408.jpg

i also noticed it did not have the flat spot for the set screw on the pinion to go onto. do you just have to tighten the set screw as best you can or is there something else i have to do. (i have not gotten the pinion yet but does it use a set screw or is it a push on one?)

david lamontagn 11.07.2007 08:22 PM

Dremel with cuting wheel, you make a small flat spot

gtxracer 11.07.2007 08:44 PM

Yup, do it yourself. The pinion won't hold unless you make the flat spot. You can also use a sanding wheel for slower (more controlled) results.

drkros3 11.07.2007 08:46 PM

ohh ok thanks. maybe i well do this tom. once i get the pinion

electric 11.08.2007 12:07 AM

hey drkros3
is that motor this http://www.superfastrc.com/feigao-5408409xl-.html

drkros3 11.08.2007 12:20 AM

yes it is. thats cheaper then what i paid also lol.

drkros3 11.10.2007 02:46 AM

still waiting on my motor mount and pinion. but i got new arms. i got the rpm arms. they are super nice :yipi:

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...3/DSC01412.jpg

dont worry they are all the same color blue. its the flash that made it look weird

electric 11.10.2007 10:22 AM

noticed that you have the long travel suspinsion on the revo any different than the stock suspinsion setup.

drkros3 11.10.2007 01:37 PM

i dont really konw. i never ran the stock setup. i put that one right when i got my revo.

drkros3 11.11.2007 01:53 AM

RCShocker 11.11.2007 10:49 PM

Things are looking great so far.

Wow, it's make me wanna hurry my along. Finger's crossed, I will be able to get a MMM shortly after the first of the year.

drkros3 11.11.2007 11:01 PM

i got my revo done today and i drove it for the first time and it went backwards lol. i had the diff's upside down lol. i fixed that and i locked the tranny into second so thats all good and wow. its amazing. its much more faster then i thought it would be. and it wheeles like crazy. i drove it for like 10min today and tom. morning im going to go to the park and see how long the battery is going to last.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...3/DSC01417.jpg

i well get some better pics later.

lincpimp 11.12.2007 01:42 AM

To cut down on the wheelies, loosen the slipper slightly. Not too much, as it will heat up. You will find that it will still wheelie, but you should be able to get more aggressive with the throttle on lauch. If you loosen up the slipper too much you wil hear it scream as it slips.

NeuRevo 11.12.2007 11:45 AM

Nice truck!!!
When you gonna have a vid of what it can do?

drkros3 11.12.2007 01:27 PM

i well try and get a vid once i find some one with a good video camera

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 01:43 PM

Looks great! Can't wait for a video of it.

DickyT 11.12.2007 05:39 PM

Looks great! My roller arrived today. This has me inspired.

GorillaMaxx360 11.12.2007 05:55 PM

man you are running brushless you did not need to flip the diffs you could have just swiched the motor wires. nice build BTW

What am I missing? He should have been able to just change the wires on the motor and ESC. Or is his motor sensored?

BL_RV0 11.12.2007 10:32 PM

feigao's aren't sensored i don't know why he couldn't of swiched the wires....

GorillaMaxx360 11.12.2007 10:41 PM

O cause it is locked into second and i am guessing it is like a one way or am i wrong.

Thats what I thought.

squeeforever 11.12.2007 10:51 PM

No, thats just it, the tranny isn't locked. If it were, it wouldn't be a problem. When he switched the wires it simply reversed the motor direction, but the problem was that the OWB prevented it from moving...Which would be why he had to flip the diffs. Make sense?

OWB?

jnev 11.12.2007 11:18 PM

OWB = one way bearing

Hickoryhead 11.12.2007 11:24 PM

I understand the one way bearing now but where is it located?
