did anyone notice mike changed the revo conversion mount?

Matthew_Armeni 11.08.2007 08:30 PM

Oh yeah, I think it's the same, he just lightened it by removing a lot of excess. Looks really sweet now.

I ordered mine last Friday and received the new one, so you should be good. A couple weeks ago when I first looked for it they were listed out of stock. i checked back they were in stock and the new one came.

Oh cool, I just took a look at the new version- looks much more refined than the previous model, almost like the TechnoRC mount.

while the topic of wing mounts is up, does anybody make a wing mount for the G3 suspension (for the maxx)

what topic of wing mounts? they are talking about the revo electric motor mount.

ib4200 11.11.2007 10:29 PM

i thought tekno rc only made wing mounts...thats embarassing

drkros3 11.12.2007 12:29 AM

nope, you can get a wing mount from tekno, jconcepts, and traxxas but as far as i konw they are all for the revo. i do belive that tekno makes one for the tmaxx.

im still trying to figure out how you think we are talking about wing mounts?

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 01:26 AM

speaking of dancing frogs, i like the new revo mount!

sorry. couldn't help it. i do like the new motor mount though.

suicideneil 11.12.2007 11:14 AM

Tehe-he, anyway- Im looking at my Gmax right now and i think its safe to say there is no-one & no way to mount a wing onto the reat shock tower :( It is so low profile there is no provision for a wing to mount up- the only possible idea I have is to mount the wing mount over the shock tower mounting point, using extra long screws that go through both the wing mount and shock tower into the bulkhead. Either that, or a bit of voodoo magic would be required....

drkros3 11.12.2007 01:28 PM

well if you have the stock shock tower you can use this

Indeed you can, but with the G3.3 towers it requires more than just alittle bit of imagination:

Granted, thats the frontend, but the rear tower is identical; not many mounting options in my eyes...

:party:LMAO

re-read up to my post, nobody ever said the words motor mount or anything like that:oops:

It would be pretty simple to make a mount. Simply make a flat plate that uses the 4 mounting holes for the tower. Use those to mount the plate and mount the tower to the plate using countersunk screws from the backside.
