I would appear that you can. In fact, the cost of all those parts is only slightly more than half the cost of the servo saver...Maybe Robin is charging $40 for screws now...

ClodMaxx 11.11.2007 06:43 PM

good question. try it and find out (although i can already see there are no bearings listed separately...not sure how many other small parts would keep it from being a complete kit)

Ninmaxx 11.11.2007 06:47 PM

Yeah I saw that their were no bearings so I'll have to find out the size of them.

lol - that, or he's charging for the time taken to put it all in one nice package.

Whoa my computer does not like the website, it keeps on messing up and saying abunch of warnings...
I also found this servo saver

the pro-line kit has been discontinued for a while, but you can still find them here and there.

i had one for about a year - it worked better than stock, but the UE SS trumps it in strength... and my truck just seemed to react so much better with the UE. (in all fairness, the plastic bellcrank on the pro-line one was cracked)

Ninmaxx 11.11.2007 07:00 PM

Well looks like I just need to find out the size of the bearings and the screws.

Ninmaxx 11.11.2007 07:09 PM

Nevermind I can't find that E-clip, or bearing sizes.

ClodMaxx 11.11.2007 07:52 PM

i no longer have my genIV SS, but this is a parts list directly from the instructions (the number in front is the quantity of each):

2 Steering Post
4 M5x8x2.5 Bearing
2 Spacer
1 Spring Post
1 LowerBellCrank
1 M10 E-Ring
1 Rigid Bellcrank
1 DragLink
1 Spring
2 Shoulder Screw
1 Upper Bellcrank

I bet they will be back in stock next week.

Cool thanks, is this all on the site?

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 12:10 AM

i got it from the instructions that i still had with my SS. still have the instructions, but don't have the SS anymore. guess i'll pitch 'em, lol

just found this: you can download the instructions from UE. at the bottom of the page is 'instructions', for just about all of their parts.

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 03:35 PM

They don't have the M10 e-ring, so looks like I'm out of luck..

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 03:39 PM

you give up too easily. :mdr:

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 03:50 PM

Lol, is that it?

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 03:57 PM

it's better. the one i linked is zinc coated. but it's still a 10mm e-clip, just as UE's instructions specify.

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 04:01 PM

What about the bearings?

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 04:06 PM

ask and ye shall receive.

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 04:11 PM

Wow thanks alot!

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 04:17 PM

no problemo. good luck, and let us know if it works.

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 04:33 PM

Where do you think I can get the shoulder screws?

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 04:34 PM

add it to the same order from hexheads.

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 04:43 PM

Do you know what size it is?

ClodMaxx 11.12.2007 04:49 PM

i'm afraid i don't - the size isn't listed in the parts list. someone with a genIV will have to chime in.

if i had to guess, i'd say about a M2 that's maybe 10mm long or so, but i can't remember for sure.

Ninmaxx 11.12.2007 10:39 PM

Hmm... Wish I could find the size...

squeeforever 11.12.2007 10:55 PM

Its not a problem... A screw or e-clip should keep you from getting the parts. Those are things that are SUPER easy to find. Especially at a LHS...
