You've got to make a video of that beast!

aqwut 11.20.2007 07:38 PM

soon as she's done.. I will ... I'm gonna give her a paint job.. and that's it... I didn't think it was as big as the picture was.. but it's huge... I think it's 14 Pole...

holyy ^%)(()(&*(&&%$$#$*(_*_%%^$T*(*^*^%^%%&^%*&Y&^*&^*& ^%%^$^%$^%$^%$^(_*(_()__)+)_(*^%$#$Q!!@#!@#$$%%^() __)**)*&*)+**)_*!!!!!!!! how much does that motor weigh?

aqwut 11.20.2007 08:06 PM

it's almost the same weight as the Lehner 3080... this thing weighs 1.6KG.. I was test spining the can, and the two wires arced and scared the CR*P outta me...

Can you find a prop large enough to take advantage of all the torque that motor will make?

Wow! It is beautiful!:surprised::oh::yes:

lutach 11.20.2007 09:35 PM

Man you went UH happy I see.:oh:

sikeston34m 11.20.2007 09:59 PM

How many set screws hold the endbell to the shaft?

Can we get a shot of the back of that motor?

aqwut 11.20.2007 10:27 PM

yeah.. I'll take a picture of the back for you guys to see..... when I get home...

there are 8 screws holding the "x-shaped mount" and 4 screws holding the shaft .. that's what I can remember.. and I think I saw 2 set screw too.. but to make it easier, I'll take a picture.. then maybe you guys could tell me if it's a good quality motor... :)

aqwut 11.21.2007 03:03 AM

Here are all of the pictures.. let me know what you guys think...

Thats not a motor, its a god-dman warhead. I wouldnt mind seeing the boats its going into- any idea of estimated speed? I've seen a video of 150mph cats before, and all I could do was reach for the kleenex....

aqwut 11.21.2007 08:28 PM

I dont' think this motor would be able to push it that fast.... it took 2x Lehner 3080's to get a big cat to over 100MPH.... and this hull couldn't handle 60MPH anyways... I should've gotten a low profile hull but had a great deal on this hull... you have a link of that 150mph cat.. that would be awesome...

suicideneil 11.22.2007 07:02 PM

Gah, I was affraid you'd ask for a link. It was quite a while ago, so I cant remember where exactly I was looking when I found it- was just generally browsing lots of boat sites and didnt add anything to favourites; my bad.

aqwut 11.22.2007 08:06 PM

I saw one goin' pretty fast with a 2280.... but probably only 80MPH... which is too fast already...

othello 11.22.2007 09:03 PM

Since you are writing about fast cats. This is one of my favorite speed boat movies. Maybe not the fastest one (100mph) by todays standards, but nonetheless impressive.
