MetalMan 08.05.2005 11:46 AM

That looks great! Seems as if your conversion was factory-made. You really can't go wrong with that 7XL!

Re~Mix 08.05.2005 01:42 PM

*jaw dropping* Nice man, looks perfect. How much to duplicate? Lol jk. Nice work.

maxxdude1234 08.05.2005 01:54 PM

I really do find it quite atonishing how many people have found different ways of fitting E-maxx tranny's into different trucks. Makes you wonder why anyone would bother with nitro.....

How does it handle, I bet its quite a beast with a 7XL, now all you need is a nice set of lipo's.....;)

Serum 08.06.2005 03:22 AM

Nice LST! i thought about converting one too (spare parts are really cheap on this truck and the stock driveline is nearly bullet proof)

those CF parts, did you made them yourself, or is it the CF upgrade kit which is adapted?

RC-Monster Mike 08.06.2005 07:49 AM

Nice!

gixxer 08.06.2005 05:09 PM

I have to agree with metalman, that conversion looks so good it really does look like it came from the factory like that.

Jason C 08.06.2005 06:18 PM

I have A buddy that would probably pay good money to convert his. That thing is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waxxxymunkee 08.11.2005 04:16 PM

   Holy Moly that is sweet looking to get rid of it ?

Dafni 08.11.2005 05:12 PM

Big Respect!

Looks very nice.

Rcbros 08.12.2005 04:20 AM

very cool!

Serum 08.14.2005 04:16 AM

Dimit; you made the CF plates yourself right? can you post the entire photo shoot? I did see it on another forum, but i lost that thread.

crazyjr 08.14.2005 08:01 PM

very nice

Gustav 08.16.2005 11:36 AM

Looks great. I'm also working on an LST conversion.I'm at a bit of a dilemma as to whether to make an extended lower deck to mount the cells or whether to mount them closer to the centre line as you have.If only the LST chassis was narrower there would be no need to compromise.

I'd be interested to hear how you feel the centre of gravity is like to drive the way yours is.

I've decided to drop the bottom of the e-maxx tranny through the lower deck a few mm to get the drive shafts dead straight and to put a skid/guard over it.

I'm having trouble finding CF plate in large enough size for the upper deck in Europe.(i'm in the UK).Can you suggest anywhere?

RC-Monster Mike 08.16.2005 10:59 PM

What size do you need, Gustav? Perhaps I can help.

Gustav 08.17.2005 07:05 PM

Thanks Mike.

I need 20x30cm 3mm carbon fibre for the extended lower deck which is how i've decided to mount the cells.

I've decided to go that way to lower the c of g and to get the weight distribution further back.(although further from the centre line)

I've found a piece in the UK for £75 for good quality all carbon laminate. If you know of any cheaper please let me know.

I also found graphite plate at Graphite store.com which was only around $50 but shipping was over $100 from the US.

I'm going to make a prototype in ally in the mean time before machining the carbon.

Mike, i haven't recieved the motor and controller yet which you had sent direct from BK, i was wondering if you could check if it was sent yet.i know you've been waiting for 9920s aswell.I'll e-mail you about that anyway with the details.I'm also after some maximizer diff cups for the LST.Thanks.

RC-Monster Mike 08.17.2005 08:01 PM

I am chasing down a couple BK orders actually, and should have them all squared away by tomorrow(they have been a little backed up apparently, as I have been waiting over a month now!).
I will look into the CF for you, and will pick up the maximizer lst diff cups for you as well.

Gustav 08.17.2005 08:16 PM

Thanks Mike!

Dimit 08.21.2005 10:46 AM

hello all!

After some runs I can say that this B-LST handle very well!
As fast as my "old" .27 picco !

I need to add some weight in the rear, it will be better for the jumps.
I will try with the yellow spring in the front.

Here is the pics of the plate:

Dafni 08.21.2005 11:21 AM

Very very nice work.

crazyjr 08.21.2005 12:07 PM

WOW that is nice. do you have any vids.

nitro_freak1 08.23.2005 10:53 AM

now that is AWSOME!!! i have 2 LST's and wouldnt mind converting one to electric. how much would u charge for a chassis??? (if u wanna make another one) i would be highly interested in one. that is amazeing work man. nice job

dabid 08.23.2005 11:08 AM

How thick is that CF plate? I'd be worried about taco-ing it on a hard crash, heard of a few LST's doing it in stock form.

Dafni 08.23.2005 03:24 PM

Funny you should say that, Dabid. I thought about the very same. I daydreamed about doing an LST with selfmade alu plates. X braces would cure the taco effect!

Dimit 08.26.2005 04:50 PM

here is the first vid:

nitro_freak1 08.26.2005 04:51 PM

damn man that is awsome... would u make another chassis? if so how much .. shoot me a pm with a price in mind.

Dimit 08.26.2005 05:00 PM

lol.
I don't have enough time to make another chassis.

Try to do it yourself, it's very easy.

nitro_freak1 08.26.2005 05:02 PM

LOL naaah i dont have the tools to make it... ill just fabricate a mount to work.. good job on the truck .

MetalMan 08.26.2005 06:00 PM

Your LST looks great on the track! Too bad the track doesn't look as clean as your BL conversion!

TwzteD 08.26.2005 06:56 PM

RC-Monster Mike 08.27.2005 07:54 AM

TwzteD 08.29.2005 05:58 PM

i liked the other body better

coolhandcountry 08.29.2005 08:36 PM

It looks good. I think it would have looked better with a gm product body. :LOL

danhfvcsd 08.31.2005 08:34 PM

Holy crap!!! I been waiting so long to see some other LST conversions to pop up! :) Huge props for the work you've done there man - looks awesome and so clean!!!

I currently have someone doing a conversion on my LST, as i don't have the skills needed -lol- But it should be here very shortly - although i will have the LST tranny and using 18cells and Lehner 2230 11wind motor with 16024MGM esc :)

That new shell is very appropriate tho! -lol-

brushless losi 06.02.2006 12:53 AM

Serum 06.02.2006 01:29 AM

I haven't seen Dimit online for quite some time Brushless Losi.

But Mike can have you made any length of shaft you like.

Serum 06.02.2006 01:32 AM

They do look a lot like the stock shafts though.

brushless losi 06.05.2006 04:02 PM
