Best fitting body

Whats the best fitting body for the RC-MONSTER .5 ?.

skellyo 01.22.2008 11:03 PM

I just knew you'd end up buying a RCM Ext chassis with all that new green in your pocket. :mdr:

Proline XXXNT body fits well. The stock wing will look a little silly though.

How well do the bodys for the rustler or jato fit ?.

lincpimp 01.29.2008 01:01 AM

The jota body is lower profile than the rustler. It would look better, IMO. Better styling too!

rchippie 01.29.2008 01:04 AM

I agree the jato has a nice looking body. I just dont want to get one thats to long.

BlackedOutREVO 01.29.2008 01:05 AM

BP revo runs a jato CP on his .5

Looks nice

rchippie 01.29.2008 01:09 AM

What about this one .

Perfect size long wise

The thing is the *hump* thing in the rear for the shocks and tower, some of them are deeper, so you can get your body lower

And I know RCM Mike uses a RC 10 GT body, but cem gates says its a CP from proline, so IDK 100% there

Is there a difference between the rc10 gt body & the gt2 body ?.

entjoles 01.29.2008 01:19 AM

the wheelbase on my ext. crt.5 axle to axle is approx. 265-270mm

I just looked on tower . The gt body's are 17 iches long. Thats a 1 1/4 longer than the others we talked about.

This is what he told me via email, but cem gates says different, so IDK for sure... Dont mind the other parts lol, I asked him about wings also......

I am almost positive that Mike is (or at least in the pic BOR posted) using a rc10t4 body.

This is a rc10gt, look how far back the bumps for the shock towers are.

This is a rc10t4, the bumps for the shock towers are much closer for the centerline of the body.

I now use a proline Traxxas rustler CP body on my crt.5ext, it fits really good. (I have also changed all my electronics from the pic)

Bye:mdr:

rchippie 01.29.2008 04:58 PM

I just ordered my rc-monster extended crt.5 kit & motor clamp. Mike said he is pretty sure he has a proline CP t4 body on his .5. So i will have my friend get me one of those along with some bowties or hole shots. .

rschoi_75 01.29.2008 06:53 PM

I wonder if a kyosho dtx body would fit?
