LOL, I was just reading this thread you started and had to think that your user name "gone" simply refers to the cash you once had before buying all these parts. :mdr:

Bonjour, bienvenue au forum - espérez que votre projet va bien.

gone 02.01.2008 01:42 PM

Thanks you ^_^', what do you think about the configuration ? Will it be enough ? And what do you think about the imax b6, charger balancer ?
Bye a++

I think we found a new play-mate for Aqwut....

Can anybody explain the use of that black thing in the first picture?

speedy 02.01.2008 02:21 PM

are that a new mgm esc ? the esc's on rcm have the motor and battery leads pre soldered and shinktube around the controller ?

gone 02.01.2008 02:24 PM

It must be an old because I haven't got that, but I bought it in 2008 on mgm compro.........
Do you think that it will be enough to run on the nemesis ?

Mike has the presoldered and shrink wrapped MGMs made to his specifications. I think he is the only one that carries them that way. (but Im not sure about that)

The one the gone has is probably the most recent controller, just in the standard configuration that MGM sells.

gone,

Welcome to the forums. Looks like this will be a great project. I'm looking forward to seeing your final result. It will certainly not be lacking in power with that 1527!!!

gone 02.01.2008 02:58 PM

thanks you a lot, there will be some news the next week, have you some advices about the charger, hyperion or imax ? and what will be my runtime with the 1527 1D, 125 amps max.....and I have both 4900mah ?
a++

Serum 02.01.2008 03:04 PM

The MGM's are in all different configuration available; Their latest and greatest uses two heatsinks, two fans and the wires are directly soldered onto the 3.5 plugs, and they are covered with heatshrink (except for the heatsinks and the fans)

Arct1k 02.01.2008 03:12 PM

I really like the hyperion ones personally...

Serum 02.01.2008 03:18 PM

Are you planning on running these packs in parallel or are you planning on running the individual?

In parallel your runtime will increase, but so will your weight!

gone 02.01.2008 03:47 PM

I don't know yet, I think in individual, I'd like to be light.
Thanks you

what is that rather strange noise coming from the truck? is it related to the blue pollution coming out the back? i would get some bigger tires, IMO the badlands look too small.

I have no idea what that blue cloudy stuff was (atmospheric anomaly maybe, or possibly some smurf blood in the dirt), but the strange noise must have been a mosquito near the camera microphone...

BL_RV0 02.07.2008 08:47 PM

hmmm.... its puzzling.

I need to the mount of the bearing, and it's finished

Hardstyle 02.13.2008 11:39 AM

Nice work man, keep us posted! I want to see that thing running.. I have brushless genesis conversion too, but havent got figured out how to mount the motor to it, so now its just lying around :D..

How do you mount the batterys?

jhautz 02.13.2008 11:49 AM

Looks great. That motor is crazy long!!!!! I would look at finding a way to give it a little support in the back. Take some of the stress of of the motor mount in landing jumps and such.

Cant wait to see that thing run.

gone 02.13.2008 12:06 PM

The aluminium used is 7075 t651, I will see in the first test if it's enough strong. The motor's length is about 11 cm
Thanks

gone 02.13.2008 12:12 PM

Hardstyle, I have you some pics of your genesis conversion, it seems to be interesting and what is your configuration ? For the batteries, it's not finished yet....

Hardstyle 02.13.2008 03:47 PM

It was supposed to run bk12xl motor & bk12020 esc with two 3s2p maxamp lipos in series, if you meant that..
I got it running though, but with very poor success :P, the pinion got stripped pretty fast.
The boat motor mount (what I used) arent the best way to mount the motor in a car, that I have learned :D, its nearly impossible to get the right gear mesh between the spurs and pinion.

Hello, some pics of my nemesis's chassis, it's not finished yet

Serum 03.15.2008 06:13 AM

Nice work! That is one HUGE motor..

Is the front shaft laying flat or is it at an angle? the cross-pins don't seem to be in line? (looks can be deceiving) an angle might hurt your drivetrain from the inconstant load.

Hardstyle 03.15.2008 07:14 AM

Thats alot of work man! I thought you were allmost finished at the previous page :D
I know genesis/nemesis isnt easy to convert, its like any part wont go there without modding.. Even its a big car there isnt just enough room in there.

Keep it going! That will be a very nice car. Btw have you calculated the speeds on that setup?

Thanks Serum... :)

New Project is a 3080 going into that GST....

Gone.. I like what you did dude... looks really awesome... A lot cleaner than mine that's for sure... That motor just looks awesome in there, I could barely fit a 2280 into mine.. So fresh and so clean... Great Work....!!

What's_nitro? 03.15.2008 05:00 PM

Now THAT is what I call a TVP chassis! :mdr:

aqwut 03.16.2008 10:42 AM

Gone, is that plastic that is sandwiched between 2 plates of aluminum?... My friend had some of that, but I don't know where he bought it.. his brother in-law gave him some... Where'd you get it from?.. those makes awesome battery trays...
