Question about mounting Neu

So I go to mount my Neu 1515 motor to my new Emaxx and it turns out the mounting holes on the motor are not spaced far enough apart to get the 2 screws in at the same time. The motor holes on the stock motor plate are too far apart for the Neu.

I imagine people are not using just 1 screw to mount the motor, so what's up? Did I buy the wrong motor? (I did buy it from a boat place).

Not sure I understand...I have two Emaxx trucks with Neu 1515 motors and they work fine with the stock motor plate? Sounds like your Neu may have a propeller (for aircraft) gearbox attached...or they did not send you a 1515 series motor....but even the 1509 and 1521 series should fit?????

Post some pics of your motor and we can resolve this quickly....

You have an older motor. The hole spacing was closer together on the older ones. I have one like that too. I had to make my own mount. RCPD offered to make me a mount but I didn't want to wait.

Please post some pics so we can say for sure.

This has got to be it. I guess I will try dremeling the plate and if that doesn't work I will have to get a custom mount.
