rear bulkheads

Anyone use the FLM rear bulkheads. I recieved my set and finally put them on. However, the bottom hingepins are too short. Anyone else have this problem?

try whiching the front and rear hingpins because the front and rear bulkheads are different.

I remember that it was discussed somewhere else too..

Sounds like you had the wrong pins in the package. They (FLM) changed the design, and it now needs longer pins.

Perhaps Mike can help you out.

I bought the Traxxas Stainless hingepins. The ones I have in the front fit perfect. The top pins on both front and back are perfect. Its just the bottom rear pins are just about a 1/8" short. Both front and rear bulkhead packages came with bototm hingepins but neither fit.

any idea Mike?

I will find a substitute and have FastLane change the included hinge pins in future kits to the proper size.

That would actually be the perfect solution... ;)

Thanks alot. Am I the first to have this problem or is the reoccuring?

RC-Monster Mike 08.20.2005 05:38 AM

Second time I have heard of it, actually.

I got it all together right now. I used the hingepins for now with just one e-c;lip on there. It hold the arm on but after my 3rd run, I noticed the pin was starting to eject itself. My RPM wear plate will keep it from coming all the way out but if it gets that far, the front connection point on the arm wont be connected. I'll just check to make sure it in until we have a solution.

it will bent pretty easy when it's halfway in..

Better be carfull, can't you use some kind of tape to keep them in place?

nitrostarter 08.20.2005 10:40 PM

I didnt think of tape. I'll have to use it for now.
