Project Overkill... (Is it to much power?)

My bro ordered his Sidewinder 4600 combo today and will be slapping it in his Trinity now and buy a custom 540 mini quake mount off ebay. He'll be running it on 3s. It is complete overkill but were aiming to get some good speeds out of it with a buttload of torque. Ill hopefully get pics of the build but their is no guarantee.
The build should start soon...

You'll need to beef up the diffs and other driveline components

lincpimp 02.17.2008 03:26 PM

And possibly a monkey butler to clean up the damaged parts!

skellyo 02.17.2008 03:38 PM

Maybe just wrap the diffs in a diaper? That way, when they take a dump, at least it's easy to clean up.

t-maxxracer32 02.17.2008 03:38 PM

lmao! whats up with you and the monkey butler?

You cannot say that it would not be cool to have a monkey butler can you?

Your freinds would be in awe, and the ladies would be all over you like a roll of wallpaper!

LOL!!!!!!!!!:na::na:

I had a mini quake with a 12turn single, and it roasted diffs every 5 or so mins of using it

Good luck

The diffs inside the Now are hardened steel. It should be fine. I wouldnt have even bothered to get a Sidewinder if I knew the diffs were weak.

The Beauty of Castle Products is the PC interface and their programmability.

Turn it down to a level the diffs can handle.

I think your big problem will be high-speed stability. The small scales are a handful once you get over 40 mph.

This is true, and they do not handle a high speed crash either. Make sure that your play area is clear and free of obstacles, like the dreaded car tire, it has killed may mini ts and rc18ts!

Topspeedtimmy 02.19.2008 07:23 PM

Hah, that's the same set-up as in my Revo.

Still Laughing

Pimp you are a hoot. It took me five minutes to stop laughing at that one. Just to think about a monkey butler remvoing a diaper full of diff gears is hilarious:rofl:. We can only imagine what you are like drunk. That would be funny, and with a monkey butler serivng us drinks would not seem so unusual around you:lol::yipi:.

Anyway let them burn up the road with this one and maybe we will see some really cool vids as the smoke is let out of the diffs:gasp:. Good luck with that guys.

I sure hope that we can break some parts on the now because we have yet to break anything after some pretty good bash sessions... But their is a ton of snow of the ground (2 feet to be exact) and glare ice streets with a couple of inches of packed snow over it so I wont be running for awhile... IDK when Im going to be able to run lol. But yes I will definately get you some good quality vids of speed passes and some small bash sessions.

Glad you had a good laugh. I am usually quite funny when I am drunk, although the ladies distract me more than usual while I am drinking!

I am actually the funniest when i am overly tired and delerious. I have had grown men wet themselves from laughing so hard as my BS. When I get on a roll it is hard to stop, especially when people start laughing. I guess it is my way of showing off, just verbally!

A monkey butler of midget cocktail waitress in a french maid outfit are two of the funniest things I could think to bring to a party. Or maybe a really fat guy in a speedo riding a mini motorbike!
