What do you guys do for wheels/tires?
Since I did the 1515 5S conversion, the truck is a MONSTER. It's ridiculously fast.
The stock tires are useless, they burn off like a set of anaconda's from a Jato. I put a set of Proline Big Joe's 40 series and though they grab great and help steady the truck, I've stripped out the back of the wheels. Now I had just installed a set of aluminum hex nuts so I'm not sure if that hurt or not.... Nonetheless, I'm thinking of going with aluminum wheels. I'd like to stay with the 40 series. Suggestions/opinions? Thanks, Mark |
i went with 17mm aluminum hexes and truggy tires, theyre holding fine now. 40's are on the heavy side. you'd love how the truck felt with some nice light shoes.

23mm hexes, tape the tires, and get molded foams and you'll be set.
