building a emaxx form scratch
 

I was going to buy a emaxx from a friend at work for cheap but i was going to replace almost everything on it. so i have decided to build it form scratch. im giong to be using the flm exteneded chassis. and all rpm arms, shock tower, even the new rear conversion to get ride of the toe turnbuckle. also going to be using revo shocks on it so i can get it low to the ground cause im building a all out drag emaxx.

I was just wondering what kinda diffs should i use. should just keep with the stock ones or is there a nice upgrade that could make it go faster or something. i would think the stock ones would be strong cause in my revo i never went there a diff. i only took them apart to clean them out and re oil them.

For the upmost in strength, a 1/8 scale diff in a set of the hybrid bulks is your best bet.

I am building an emaxx from scratch using a bomp proof chassis with hybrid bulks, rpm arms, bumpers shock towers, skids, etc. I will also have a gmaxx single speed. Not sure on the power sysem, but it will most likely be 5s lipo thru a quark of maybe the MMM when it comes out.

i was using the speed calculator and it says it would go slower with the 1/8 scale diffs.

whats going into the emaxx is 2 6xl motors, 2 4 cell lipos, 2 mm esc, i well be running 4 cells into each motor

definately go with the hybrid bulks and 1/8 buggy diffs. The stock diffs will not last with a dual 6xl system. Might I suggest using a pair of 7xl motos. It will run much cooler and you can gear it up to make up for the loss in speed. Same with the diffs, just gear up. You will have no lack of power with 2 xl motors. I see no reason that the truck will not do 60mph reliably, except with breakage due to crashes. You will also want the 3.3 upgrades such as the hubs, and driveshafts.
