Fan for the MambaMax, whats out there?

I'm looking for a good fan to use on my MM esc. Which one will move allot of air without sucking much power and last? I'd like it to be 25mm or 20mm size.

I used a novak 25mm on mine and I liked it. It was the only one I used so I cant compare it to others, but I didnt find any problems with it.

I just use cheap 12v 25mm fans.

allelectronics.com also has a large selection.

I used a 5V 25mm fan on mine and it worked really well. I ran it off the BEC. I had a 20mm to compare but they are a bit too small. Allelectronics have them, but the min shipping charge makes it a bit $$ if that's the only thing you want. However, its still cheaper than a novak fan (which is the same exact thing) Actually the sunon fan has lasted a lot better than the novak fan that was on my GTB.

A 12v fan will pull less current than the 5v version for the same size fan and speed. Just something to think about...

And you don't have to run a wire all the way from the receiver, just wire it to the battery wires where they attach to the circuit board on the MM.

You can actually do the same thing w/ the 5V fan if you are using the BEC. If you are using 4S/external BEC tho you are prolly better off using a 12V. The only bad thing is that the rpm is not constant, but its not a biggie, All-e doesn't have them in stock anyway.

I use the 25mm Novak fans and plug them directly into the RX.
