Any HV ESC's coming out this year for car/truck apps??
 

I'm running a HV110 and am wanting more....the Schulze and Jeti Spin are nice but WAY overpriced. Is their something becoming available this year with a sub-stratospheric price tag?

I think he wants 10S lipos or more. I'm having one made, but it's being made from scratch. The guy that is making them is having some trouble with a car software. He told me that he has the forward/brake part done, but the reverse still needs work. It should handle 14S lipos. Patrick from Castle did mention a 12S capable MMM, but I think they are not going to make them anymore. The MMM coming out in my opinion doesn't reank as a HV. I have all the Aveox line of controllers and they have a L, M and H series. The H which is the HV one can handle 10S lipos or 32 normal cells. Forgot to add that the Jeti Spin 200 or 300 is not for cars. The only companies that makes a HV that has car software are: Schulze, MGM, BK (Might be limited on RPM range), Kontronik, Actronic and SinusLeistungsSteller (This seems to be one awesome controller http://www.sinusleistungssteller.de/index.html).

Just throwing this out there since I'm kinda looking at options myself, but what about having your guy use the brains from a much cheaper car ESC? The only issue I can think of is you won't be able to use the LVC in the software, but he could add a set of DIPs or jumpers to set the LVC. Then, just interface the brain with your own FET boards. Just a thought...

All I need is forward and brake, and yes I'm running 10S and 12S lipo setup. Running a 1527 Neu motor on one of my e-maxx's.

Which one does BK make that is HV. I have a pair of 9920's and they have been wonderful so far. Don't mine BK controllers at all.

I've told him the same thing, but he wants to go with what he has. All I have to do at this time is wait and apologize.

Here are the BK controllers: 3670 / MicroCar, 3695 / MicroCar, 36120 / MicroCar and 36150 / MicroCar. I have 2 of the 3695 and one burnt (22.2 volts and Hacker C50-13L) and I'm afraid to use the other LOL.

I found them on BK's site, but looks like no one in the US carries them.

Which 1527 do you have? If you can draw something in the neighborhood of 50-60A, then go with a Kontronik 55-10-32. You might be able to find some in other forums for around $180.

Its the 1527 1D. Draws an advertised 118 amps, but not sure what real world it will put just yet. I'm going to just give the HV110 a shot and see what happens.

I'm going to set it to really soft start to avoid the high amp draw on getting the truck rolling.

FWIW, I just got a response back from Joe Ford about another question I had and he was saying that Steve Neu found that the HV-110 was able to take 150-160A bursts no problem. He also mentioned that Steve had a thread over at RCGroups about this - am attempting to find it now...

I spoke to some of the Heli guys that claim they are data logging spike as high as 200amp with the HV110 and with a fan they claim it takes it like a champ. So for the time being I'm going to cross my fingers with it. Only problem is brakes....I will run the brakes at the lowest setting.

I just thought it was funny that they are adding fans to the esc in the heli.... Those things are just giant fans aren't they? Adding another one seems kinda silly.
