lehner 1930/5 and bk 9918?????
Some1 offered me to trade that, but i've never heard of them? Is it a good combo for e-maxx? Is the 9918 esc discountinued?
|
The 9918 is just the slightly older version of what is now the 9920. The Lehner 1930/5 is a good motor, but I don't know how well it would work in a Revo. Here is something on it though:

the 9918 discontinued?
|
No, the 9920 IS the 9918.. the 9918 is also capable of handling 20 cells, like the 9920.. Only the newest versions of the 9920 have got one difference.. They have got a BEC that should work on 6-7 cells..
That 1930 is too hot... 4180 rpm/v is too much for the 9918 with the maxx.. (or are you planning running 8-10 cells? ;) ) |
Well, would there be any benifits to runnign 8-10 cells? longer run times? Lower temps?
|
I would not use that motor for an emaxx to start with, but on 10 cells, it will be light and rather fast. You are 200 watts away from 12 cells.. Which is a big step. It just ain't as fast as 12 cells. And 12 cells on that motor is too much if you ask me (with the 9918 that is) it takes a stronger controller to use it on 12 cells somthing like a 18120.

its not on an emaxx, its on a revo.

same weight.. it's a MT, same ratio, same weight, same diameter of tires..
with the automatic 2speed transmission with the centerdiff? and mechanical brake bytheway? i thought that was you? |
this was my fist bl set up. it would always shut off. because the motor was drawing too many amps. i did not like this set up at all. my best bl motor was a Hacker Maxx C50. you dont want any thing over 3300 rpms per volt.

yes, the 9L or the 3100 XL on 12 cells is the nicest.. above 3500 rpm/v motors should be used in duall setups.. (with the proper gearing)
