3905 E maxx with GST wheels/Chevron Tires
Hi Guys,
It's been awhile since I posted, so I thought I would add something to the forum. I installed the wide ratio 2 speed kit in my E maxx. 2nd gear is like the single speed, high and fast. But with the wide ratio kit, 1st gear is much like a Rock Crawler. Low and slow, but very powerful. In 1st, I can pull up against a wall, stop, then start moving forward and climb straight up the wall until the truck if vertical. This is gonna be fun to play around with. I got my new Wheels, Tires, and Adapters today. They are huge at 7 1/2" tall, 4" wide, and pretty heavy at almost 18 ounces each. Here's a few pictures for you guys that might be wondering how they fit or what they might look like. The MG995 Steering Servo's will still turn these big meats from stop to stop very quickly and effortlessly. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...m/DSC06851.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...m/DSC06852.jpg |
That looks crazy, I like it!
Still have the axi in there? |

Yes, the AXI 2826 - 8 turn is still in there right now. It runs too hot for my liking in high gear with these big meats though. Top speed is alot higher considering the greater circumference. I might put the 10 turn back in there and go for spin. I believe I could get into this rock crawling thing. This truck's ability to crawl up over and through really rough terrain is GREATLY improved with these tall tires. I think I could hook this up to a wagon in first gear, and pull myself down the road. Someone needs to top John Rob's Electric Bike Video! LOL |
Those look insane. Now I gotta get a set, I'm watching some now on Ebay. Those are going to look awesome on my FLM Maxx!:yipi:

it looks impressive! you might want to invest in some aluminum steeringknuckles; these plastic things won't hold up too long.
