Regluing an endbell?
 

I had an endbell come loose and now I need to reattache it, it's a Ammo motor so it screws on but what do I use to lock it in? I want a high temp thread locker. How about Loctite RED or JBWeld?

If you use Red Loctite, chances are you'll never get it off again if you need to. How about the Green Loctite?

The Green is penetrating, plus it's a little more forgiving if you do need to remove it again to replace bearings or whatever.

If the Threads are still in good shape, even Blue Loctite might be enough for what you need. Blue is removeable, but does prevent vibration loosening.

This motor gets real hot, will blue locktite hold?
I'm thinking I might drill/tap three screws to the front bell like it has on the rear bell. Hobbico is sending a replacement one for me but I want to fix and run now.

I'm not sure what the compromise temperature of the Blue is, but I use it just about anywhere.

I know with Red you could fry the motor and it would still probably be holding. LOL It takes 500 degrees Farenheit before the Red even THINKS about giving up.

The Green is somewhat lower than this.

I know the Ammo motors do tend to run hot, but if you're running over 180 - 190 or so, you probably should reconsider your gearing options.

Thanks Sikeston34m, I've got some blue so I'll use that till I can add the screws.

or I hate to day it a better motor.

Ya, I know a better motor would fix it but for now I'll do this.
