my E revo in maxx-style
hi
here we go with my maxx-style electrified revo. my idea was to use some e maxx stuff. i faced some trade offs during the making. but yeah i thought i may show you how far i got by now. with the body looks unsuspicious http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/erevo11.jpg http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/erevo12.jpg the difference is underneath http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/erevo14.jpg http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/erevo15.jpg http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/erevo16.jpg as you can see if i really want to use the e maxx battery holders i need the single motor plate. i could fix the batteries otherwise of course as an alternative. http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/erevo7.jpg comparison to my e maxx http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/revomaxx1.jpg http://62.2.107.106/~beat/images/12-03-08/revomaxx2.jpg it is not yet finished. there are serveral minor (i hope) things to fix. also i will install a small receiver box in the front and a esc plate in the rear i guess. the idea so far is to use a moderate brushless setup with 4s. bye rhylsadar |
hey, i'll send you a body for that truck in exchange for the motor in the emaxx.
conversion looks nice. |

emaxx tranny
I saw a post from stumblin on putting in new emaxx tranny. Was it hard for you putting it in? From his post, it looks like you have to cut a big groove for the spur and then some of the side for the tranny to fit. Is this right? Also, how did you fasten the tranny...drilling 4 new holes and using big washers?
I like to do this mod as I have a new emaxx tranny on the way. |
I love seeing that e-maxx with the plettenberg all covered in mud! Too many people baby their trucks. Nice work.

hi
its no big deal to mount the tranny in the revo chassis. you just have to find a good position for it. drilling the holes and just a little dremel work for the spur. my tranny is sitting a tad higher as you can see in one pic above with those yellow washers. so there was very few dremeling for the spur. i have to made a cover to protect it a bit form the dirt. in the traxxas forum there is a guy who made some sort of tranny holder with two revo chassis braces. that looks good. you may check it. bye rhlysadar |
heres a emaxx tranny mounted in the revo...those motors are for moc-up...i'm going to run V-twin with two maxamps 3s 8000mah lipos...I hope to hit at least 50-60mph
