Emaxx project
Well, new year, time for a new project!:na:
I want to build a emaxx up, for a nice tough basher, so heres the plan FLM EXT chassis, with the braces FLM or Garc bulks Now for the fun part, I want to use the Gmaxx towers, but I DONT want the arms, and I will use revo shocks for shocks, can I do this? Or would I better with something else? I already have the revo shocks, thats why I want Gmaxx towers... But FLM or UE for bigger shocks Option 2 is go with FLM towers, and get Aftershock (LST) shocks For diffs, the muggy diff idea looks interesting, might try that out, or just use the new emaxx diffs I want a direct drive center diff like ssconcepts has in his emaxx, and use revo tubes for driveshafts RPM arms for the front, RPM true track in the rear, with normal revo knuckles up front. For a motor, I think a 9XL, a RCM clamp, and then 5s lipo (probably true rc) Ran on a Tekin R1PRO, or swing a little extra cash, and do a MGM, but id rather do the Tekin I think thats about it, anyone has any suggestions then LMK! With that said, if anyone has emaxx parts they would sell, please PM me:mdr: Thanks! |
can the tekin handle 5s?
|
Yeah, with a UBEC it runs 5s real well, I know RCM Mike runs his emaxx on 5s with one, and jhautz (sp?) runs one on 5s in his buggy
|
Anyone?

Do the FLM with LST shocks it rocks! For a solid ride, do FLM chassis, bulkheads and towers, RPM arms, LST shocks.

Nice maxx dude!
That looks nice! Any mods have to be done to make them work? And I will be using silders, will it clear them? |
I have CVD's in mine, but I know that sliders won't clear. My father-in-law just did the conversion on his Emaxx and he has RPM arms and the new Emaxx chassis and the sliders didn't clear. So he ordered CVD's too. The RPM are way better than my aluminum ones. There is to much slop in mine and the RPM arms fit fine. You will have to remove part of the arm in order to get the shock to fit.
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...x/CIMG0383.jpg The other issue is getting the LST shocks to fit in the rear because of the rear toe link so you have to mount the shock on the inside. Unless you switch to the RPM True-Track Rear A-arm Conversion. http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/product...mall/80942.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...x/CIMG0375.jpg |
Well If I have to use CVD's then im going to scrap the idea, I dont want to use Cv's really..... RPM arms and CV's arent the best idea IMO, and bending them is a pita
And yes id have true track |
I'm not to thirlled about the Traxxas Cvd's either. I did a test run and already started to bend one in the rear. I wish I could use sliders, much cheaper. I'm working on trying to use LST CVD's somehow. If I figure it out I'll post it.

Ouch
Yeah, I dont like CVD's unless its for a race car |
