Introducing myself

Heh My name is Justin and I'm an RCaholic. I've had 6 T-maxx's and just bought a 3905. It got here last Monday. As of right now it already has a single VXL system and a 3s lipo on the way. I'm impressed with the power of the VXL system. Although I must admit I miss my nitro's. How many people here have Nitro's and electrics?

Welcome

Nitro, I never touch the stuff!

since this is generally a brushless forum you wont find too many people that like nitros.

there are a few though.

welcome!

Great.

Welcome to the RCMonster forum. There are still a few guys on here that have nitro stuff laying around, but the center of attention is Brushless. The VXL's are popular for sure mostly due to the price I would say. There are tons of threads in here just for the brushless stuff, but there are a lot of pretty interesting topics to keep anyone with even the slightest curiosity busy for a while. Lots of history and loads of talent in this place. The knowledge level can get pretty intense with some of these guys, but we all share and play well for the most part. Pull up a chair and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to this forum.

Nitro's are rather rare here, brushless is the future.. (ask Lexus.. :) !

Welcome to the RCM world.

I do have a couple nitros around still. I still like them... just not as much as my electrics.:mdr: Keep playing with it and learning about it. We are sure to change your mind as well.

I started with Nitro cause I thought they where faster and had more power! Bought a RC18T for myself as a X-mas gift and put a mamba kit in it......Haven't ran a nitro since! Then I built an E-Revo, bought a 3905 E-maxx, and a losi mini slider! Electric and BL is the wave of the future! There's no doubt that they are just as fast and way more powerful, not to mention they run the same no matter if it's 40 or if it's 90 outside! I like tinkering with Nitro a little still but I don't always have an hour to get everything out, get it started, tuned, and have fun! Now if I have 15 minutes free I can grab my E-Revo or Maxx and go have fun! Keep playing with brushless and the bug will bite you! IMO though a single vxl setup isn't enough for an E-maxx, I haven't played with them yet though, some love them, some frown on them, but they where designed for light 2WD vehicles, not heavy 4WD ones. I know what I have isn't the greatest but I think the Novak HV is much more up to the task moving a 9.5lb vehicle. Good luck!

Nitro fumes can cause brain-damages... which explains alot when you think about it.

Welcome to RCM dude, glad you escaped the noob forum!

I just can't make up my mind.... I like my 3905 in stock form because of the water resistance. Maybe when the MMM comes out I'll give it a try. The single VXL is alot faster than stock but doesn't have near the fun factor.
