MGM 16018 vs. MMM
 

Hi,

What would be the (theoretical since MMM isn't out yet) benefit of waiting for MMM instead of buying a MGM 16018?

My mamba max broke recently and Im not sure I want to wait for MMM to be released unless there is some really good reasons for it!

Im going to be running 4S, maybe 5S in the future. My motor is a Lehner 1940/8.

Cost (theortically cheaper), Support (US based / no quibble warrantee), Software (Link will be like MM).

4S should be fine with a MM with BEC and an extra cap though... Just send it back for repair.

Im in Sweden so US based does not matter too much to me. Isn't PC software any good for MGM? Looks ok here I think?

Well im not sure if I voided the warranty....a motor wire was damage and I solded on a 5.5m plug on the part of the cabel that was left in on the controller. I didn´t solder "on" the board but pretty close. Im not sure if this has something to do with it not working or not. I ran 2 8000mah lipos through it after i soldered it and on the 3 lipo it thermeled and it didnt start again. Keeps flashing all lights when I turn it on.

Sounds dead but $50 gets you a new one either way...

It's going to be extremely difficult to compare MMM to MGM since we don't actually have the MMM yet. Given recent issues with MGM though, I would be inclined to get your MM repaired and wait to see what the MMM brings.

I was more thinking in the lines of why are other people waiting for the MMM, there must be a reson?

What issues are those? I have heard of some problem with the breaks not being very exact, other then that they seem fine?

What kind of controller is MMM I just always see the abreviation and he of anticipation but i dont know anyhing about it..

The MMM is the Mamba Monster Max, made by Castle Creations and it is supposed to be rated to 6s lipo.
