Brushless Setup in New EMAXX

I asked the guys on the Traxxas Forum but didn't get much info only to stay away from Flightpower Batteries as they are to good.
Looking at probably putting a 8XL motor in and Mamba ESC and was looking at running FlightPower LiPo 7.4V 4250mAh Evo Lite 2S put they said it will overheat and the batteries are made with higher quality cells. They have a consistent, high, flat discharge with less reported cell puffing and venting. Which is why I can't run with them?

Traxxas forum = retard central.

I dont quite understand exactly, they said not to use the good lipos because they would overheat? Yes, that makes alot of sense....

Flightpowers in general are quite well regarded on this forum- look around and you will see plenty of vehicles with those orange wrapped cells onboard.

Im not certain which specific FP cells are the best, but anything over 4000mah and 20c tends to do just fine- you seem to have a perfectly reasonable setup with the 8XL and MM esc on 4s, just add the CC BEC and you will be fine I reckon.

EDIT: Just looked at the thread on noobcentral- it seems you got a little confused. What people said is that with the good cells (FP) you can run a hotter motor; with not so good cells, you need to stick to something a little milder, such as the slower 8 or 9XL. :)
