rustler on 5s a123

hey i was just wondering how a rustler would handle for an all around bashing truck with 5s a123 and a 1515 1.5d?

id be gettin a vxl and an flm chassis. maybe flm tranny case.

thanks!

You could run a 1509 motor, and that may be overkill. The 1515 could easily do 80mph, maybe more!

Even a l can feigao is too much for a rustler, for general bashing. I have a vxl pede with a novak 13.5 and a sidewinder that I run on 3s lipo. It is plenty to get to 40mph and wheely all of the time!

i figured itd be a little too much i just wasnt sure.

with all of these conversions ive done ive had nothing but trouble. im thinking about just going with a stock truck. no modifying or anything.

i figured if everything was a dropin with the rustler itd be nice.

but maybe ill just go through a diff route.

I say go for it. Although I'll agree that a 1515 is too much for "general bashing". I'm contemplating a 1512-3D-S on 8s LiPo for my next Rustler upgrade. :mdr:

How about my 9s rustler idea? Maybe too much, but I have everything to get it running. Plus 9s lipo on a 1300 kv motor is not that much!

I have a mostly stock VXL rustler, with a 4 cell 5000 lipo , and a Feigao 9L and it gets a bit out of control at times, if I added some weight, it would handle better, when I had a 3 cell 8000 pack it did, the stock tranny and drivelines hold up fine
