Wanted: 8L or similar brushless motor and LiPo
Looking to run 4s in my T4. I need an 8L and can't find them in stock online. Anyone have one laying around? Looking for a nice 4s LiPo too since I think my Hyperion has a bad cell. gstarwin@yahoo.com

Jesus, an 8l on 4s will be a bit much for a t4, unless you plan to go 80mph! I would suggest a 10l for 4s. It will run cooler, and will produce more than enough power for the t4. Hell a traxxas motor on 4s would be plenty, but may run warmer than a l can feigao.

Okay, so a 10L. Whatever I should run, I'm not used to 1/10 scale :yipi:
|
Well, you have quite a few options for 10th scale. I am currently running a novak 13.5 motor with a sidewinder esc on 3s lipo. It is plnety to bash with for me. 10th scale is not as much fun to bash than 4wd larger stuff, the brakes really suck on 2wd!

Okay well I think I fried one of the cells in my 4s pack. I just gotta figure out which one it is and make it a 3s pack. What motor do you suggest for that? :mdr:
EDIT: Just figured it out. I should get a Mamba 4600 or something similar. Right? |
What size lipo is it, specs?
For 3s a 9l is a good motor, the traxxas motor is smaller, but works well. How fast do you want to go? If 40mph or similar the 9l will not get hot, the vxl will get warmer. |
as linc suggested I would go with something slower. however if you really want an 8l, I have one with an rcmonster heatsink. I also have a 20c 4s 3700mah(firefox) pack that I could work out a deal on.

It's a 4s Hyperion 4350 LiteStorm series. Balanced and charged with a 1210i and LBA10. I'm not sure what went wrong, maybe just a bad cell.
Would the Mamba 4600 be alright? I want to be able to gear it up with 4 cells and hit 60+ mph. |
I think I got a brand new 7L sitting in a box somewhere. On 3s it would be very nice.
|
Yeah but gearing would be HIGH. Am I just not using the speed calculator correctly?
