a short clip of brushless 18th scale racing w/ some of my friends
thought you all might enjoy short vid of me and some friend's racing in the basement w/ Ass. 18b w/ mamba 5400kv. w/ 2s li-po.
We generally race every Thurs. night. We avg. 40 min or run time per battery...I just bought a 2100mah 2s and got 65 min of run time! Here's the link.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH464JxEkoQ |
Looks like alot of fun. Man would I kill to have a track right at home.

the track has a 70' staightaway and we figure the cars are hitting 30+ before we run out of room..we all have said that we have more fun w/ the little cars that we do w/ the bigger ones not to mention those 18b are bomb proof. After 18 months of weekly racing, NO ONE has broke, stripped any diff

I love the micro associated's but I have the 18R. just added the 8000 kv mamba and lipo. mine is the subaru, but I had the citroen before this. run forever and tough. I prefer the car body for on road use, and being the same platform as the 18b and t, they are tough. we laid out cardboard table tops, corner dots all over, taped down some plastic sheeting for snow areas and had a great rally track to race on. never once broke... we ran stock rtr's and with 2 batteries we played all night. we setup a track outside my auto detail shop most nights and ran until 3 am. we added light kits to make it intersting too.

we have run until the wee hrs. on several occasions...It gets v/ interesting when there are 4 of us running in the basement...my friend tried putting a 3s li-po in and what happened was that he airmailed his car into the concrete wall in about 2 sec...it was fun to watch although he broke his servo saver.
