Quark monster pro 125b servive
I have a new quark monster pro 125b that was sent to me for a waranty replacement. It was sent from korea and I was stoked they replaced it so quickly. So I soldered on my connectors and hooked my Neu 1512/1.5d and maxamps 3s2p 11.1v 6000 battery and my jr racing fm radio system and tried to setup the initial setup and all I get is the red light.I tried different batteries and radio system. There also are no chimes only the red light when you press the setup button.I tried to call Quark and they told me they no longer handle quark in the USA and could send me a competition 80b.Thats a load of @%&$:diablo:.So Iam stuck with this new unit that I have no idea what to do with it.I opened it up to visualy inspect it for the obvious and nothing. So I want to get it fixxed if anyone knows of somewhere I can send it because Quarks not gonna fix it.This first photo is the first monsterpro 125b it shorted out between the positive and negative terminals. The other is the new/defective unit.I also tried emailing info@sky-technology.com and no reply

you should call the same place that told you they dont service in the USA any more and ask them how to get it serviced in Korea.

I just spoke with another guy on here (Jonathan) last week who told me that there is a Quark headquaters in San Diego. He takes his stuff directly to them and deals with their customer service department. You may try locating them there. If not then dealing with the Korean headquaters may be your only option. I am going there in August, and will be there for the next three to four years. So maybe I can do a little dealing for some folks once I get there. We will just have to see how that goes. I sure am stoked about being posted there myself from the R/C racing community stand point. My two boys are looking forward to getting started as well. Please let us know how that works out, since there are several people on here who also have the 125B in their vehicles, including me. I have one on the way from California.

Sky and Tech HQ is in the Carson/ Torrance area. Just a few miles south of Los Angeles. The last time I contacted them about Quark service (Less than 5 months ago) I spoke with Frank Root at (310) 527-0002. Try him, he is a really cool guy. Into mostly 1/10 racing used to frequent Socal Raceway (Before it closed). Good Luck and let us know how it works out!!

I would ask Joe for the new contact info for the Korea service and send it back to them. There is no reason you should have to deal with a controller that doesnt work out of the box.
|
I've e-mailed S&T and Quark via three addresses about my monster pro with the same problem and the e-mail sent to info@sky-technology.com came back as unable to be sent. I would also like to get the address of S&T in Korea as they own Quark. One of the other e-mail address's was that of Frank Root and previously he replied so we shall wait and see. let hope, eh:smile:.

The phone number is at the top of my waranty receipt. The email address that is listed is not accepting email all of my emails have been sent back/returned:diablo:
|
The e-mail that was returned from sending it to info@sky-technology.com said that the users mailbox was full but could send a brief message (<1kb) so I sent a "e-mail me if you get this, we need to talk" kind of e-mail so I may get a reply.

Quark in America/Carson Ca. sent me a 80b like they said they would. And it works. Its not the125b but its better than nothing. So now I still have a new in the box 125b that dosent work.:diablo:
|
I am sorry but that is the most retarded thing i have ever heard replacing a 125b esc with a 80b.
It seems when castles mmm comes out quark and schulze will be in all reality screwed. There escs are more expensive, less reliable, and they treat customers like a jehovah witness advocate thats knocked on your door while your having dinner. |
This is very disturbing news. Quark was great when they were in the USA. And the service was impeccible.
|
I bet they were expecting MMM to hit the market, so they packed their bags and closed the doors. Business for them would have likely dropped to zero. They just hit the road a little to soon, I believe.
