Show your tools!

I almost titled this thread "Show your tool!" But, that sounded a bit off, so to speak.

Anyway, here is a portion of my shop. I know, I know, it is messy. Anyway, this is a Taig 3 axis CNC (soon to be 4 axis) and a Taig 5 axis manual mill. I also have a mig welder, band saw, lathe, belt sander, drill press, etc.

Anyway, who has pics of their workshop?

Matt

Oh, man, get in line! I have so many requests for custom parts right now. I make RC helis and upgrades with this equipment. Plus, I make my own projects, and I do outsourcing for people. Honestly, I use these poor little bench top machines far beyond their design capacity.

I currently am building an E-bike, then I have a device for the medical industry to build for a local doctor (he and I are collaborating on it). Plus, I have heli ordres to fill. Beyond that, I can do a few small projects here and there for people. It just depends on how time consuming it would be. :mdr:

Nice set up you've got there. I may need a part or two as well some time if you've got some extra time.

Wow.. nice dude... I just bought me a taig micro lathe to play with... will get a full size lathe and mill soon as I learn to use it... Time to expand my machining tools.. .:)

I mainly use the tools at work, we fabricate most of our own parts at the mushroom plant... I can't wait to get a mill though... my own homemade drill press mill and cross sliding vice is doing the trick for now...

Jealous

Now I am jealous. Nice little home shop. I think the best I may do is one of those multi purpose milling machines from Freight Harbor in a year or so. Right now with work, moving to Korea, and assuming custody of my three little ones we will have our hands full. Thanks for sharing that with us though. A man can still dream can't he?:lol:

Very Nice, but I have a feeling my hammer collection may make you jealous!

Mod Man,

I wish I had the talent to work those nice toys (Machines) you have. When you do get some free time, I would like to send you some 1/10th scale chassis design that I have. You can work with carbon fiber right?

Mod Man 03.29.2008 05:20 PM

I do primarrily carbon cutting.

The only issue is size of the chassis. My CNC has a milling capacity of 6 by 12 inches.

That sounds good and 12 inches is just about the length on the chassis. I will finish a few other designs as I will try to make a few 4WD and 2WD vehicles.
