Emaxx tranny questions.

I have searched and didnt really come up with the answers .
Can someone tell me what I have to do to the emaxx tranny to use in a gorillamaxx revo ? I'm talking single speed, removing unwanted parts etc.. I dont want to do the gorillamaxx single speed conversion . I like having a whole tranny case. Also, does anyone know the length of the gorillamaxx center driveshafts ? I have one but am missing the other . Thanks in advance ! Jerry

Click the link in my sig for a detailed explanation of how to do the single speed mod without using the half-case mod (its in my gmaxx build picture album- words not required). Which center drive shaft do you have, front or rear? I think Mike sells them for the Gorilla emaxx, not sure about the Gorilla revo though- the lengths should be on the Golrillamaxx.com website, if not just email them and they always respond quite quickly.

Well I failed miseribly in finding the tranny mods page :(
I have the front shaft and the cups so dont want to buy another complete set. If someone can measure the rear and let me know, I will try to find a dogbone somewhere . Thanks, Jerry

I think it's towards the bottom of this page, specifically, the following image:

So, all you need is the little adaptor on the output shaft. And you can remove the extra top gear for a little weight savings. However, you will need a spacer in place of the removed first gear. Either keep that gear in there, or cut the gear away until just the hub remains. Some people use stacked bearings, but a modded gear is cheaper (since you're removing it anyway) and lighter...

Thanks !! I did see that pic but thought there was a more detailed link I missed. Time to go start ripping mine apart !!

You know what, Im going cenial in my old age- I ment the TXT-1 page:

Then just bolt the rear half of the case back on- you can leave the 'spare' idler out, and the dog-shifter thingy, and the shifter fork.
