Good 6s motor for a truggy

Ok, moving up to 6s lipo. Since the MMM looks to be near, maybe a month or two, I am thinking of using it in my recently acquired Hyper St truggy. I have a neuenergy 3900 6s lipo. So what motor will be good? I am thinking a neu 1515 2.5d, around 1700kv, so about 38k max rpm. Looking to do low 40mph, and have plenty of power. I was also looking at the mega motors, someting with the correct kv in the 22/45 series.

So what do you guys think?

you posted the same question that I was gonna ask!

Tryin to decide on a motor for a 6S setup as well... somewhat narrowed down to these 4, just need to figure which would be the craziest!

Neu 1515/2.5D
Neu 1521/1Y

Lehner 1940/7
Lehner 1950/8

I really like the 2.5D on 6s, works great in my 12 lb Muggy.

The 2.5d looks to be the best bet, and my hyper st should be less than 12lbs with the battery. What battery do you run bdebde?

My 1515 2.5d works really well on 6s flightpower 25c 4900's in my e-maxx and now truggy, and it doesn't even overwork the quark. Low 40's will be easy, even on 100f + days like I've used it in. The highest I've geared it is 11.63:1 with standard size truggy tires and didn't have problems.

Take the 1521/1Y. You will not be let down by this motor.

I run Neu 4300 6s 25c, I get about 25 min run time, batteries barely get warm.

Got the truggy today, I will clean it up and post a thread about the build. Killer deal, 3 sets of proline tires (12 total) with molded foams and rims. They look to be almost new, very little tire wear. For 150 bucks this was a killer deal. Just need a backplate for the macstar 28. The motor has so much compression I can hardly turn it with the plug in. The truck has one broken arm, otherwise in excellent shape.

Thinking a MMM with a 1515 2.5d. We will see when the time comes to order up some stuff!
