nemesis and feigao xl brushless motor
 

ok im curious to know if anyone has had any experiences with the nemesis motors. i know they are suppose to be or are by the same people but im just wondering maybe they are more or less reliable than feigao. only reason why im asking is because there are sooo many that has the feigaos and not so much the nemesis. i personally like the blue nemesis vs the purple feigao plus the nemesis shaft comes filed already. after putting on the rcm motor clamp, will you even see the color of the motor?

oh, does anyone have pics that has their motor hardwired to the esc?

Feigao makes all the wanderer/nemesis/feigao motors, and quality is more or less identical by all accounts. Most feigaos these days are black, but if you get a purple one, a little wire wool and oven cleaner will do wonders....

my 2 cents- give Mike here at rcm the business, I don't care for the nemesis guy, they are the exact same motor, just the nemesis has had a dremel taken to the shaft for a flat spot, which is super easy and impossible to screw up unless you do it intoxicated. Hell, I've even done a couple intoxicated and didn't screw them up. And like suicide said, if color is the deciding factor take the anodizing off and polish it to a chromy shine.

i hear its pretty easy but how is it done? i dont have a bench or vise either. anybody got ways that doesnt require those? i searched a good way was to poke the shaft through a zip lock bag so it covers the holes and then flatten it. but how do i flatten it...dremel? is there any precautions i should be aware of or a good way to dremel the shaft? wouldnt the shaft spin when i dremel?

I just used tape to cover the holes. All I did was use a dremel and hold the shaft with pliers just in case. The pliers really weren't needed because when I grinded down the shaft, I was grinding at a 90 degree angle to the shaft. So the bit was always spinning at or away from the front of the can, not side to side.

Hopefully you understand, my writing may be a little confusing.

i think i get it..so you just layed the motor on the table with it on its side and not on its bottom. like the shaft was either pointing left or right instead of up correct? yea holding it with the needle should work just like this.
