back for more!
Ok, I still am undecided on my basher project
I still have the emaxx in my mind from my last thread, but I have a open mind for something else.... Needs to be tough, Somewhat light, I dont want a tank, handles well, jumps well ETC So I was looking at Muggy's, Really like them, but the seem to be on the heavy side, and the best best set up seems to be a NEU 1521 on 5/6s Then I was looking at the new revo platinum, but for the price, I will pass, but a revo done in the same sort of way (buy a used roller, get a wing, and the 17mm hexes and a few goodies) but the diff's concern me, and thats why I come back to the muggy, because there bomb proof, so for the price of the hybrid revo diffs, I could of easily had a nicely done muggy.... But I want something more nimble/light like a revo What do you guys think? |
If you can run a 1/8 scale center diff in the revo the front/rear diff issues do not seem as bad. I have metalman's old revo with the homemade slipperential and it is great. It has stock diffs and he never had issues and neither have I. Not heavy and it turns on a dime. It does have a 3.3 length chassis and the setback rear arms, so it is almost as long as a truggy. Still the best handling vehicle I have next to the hyper buggies.

Muggy's are awesome. Finally got to running mine this weekend and as usual didn't break anything. I gotta 1515/1Y, 14T pinion, JB Welded center diff, and it wheelies like crazy! I love it. It weighs in at 11.5 lbs, with the Big Joes and 8000mah brick. This was my first try with the Neu and it never got above 130 temps. Just awesome. Now I know why Mike is always sold out of them. Losi diffs are great also. I've never had one go out, or had to shim them, just drop and go play.

Since I've converted mine to BL, I've only lost one wheel nut and bent the bumper mounts. There indestrucible. My emaxx always broke, so I made it my shelf queen. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...k/CIMG0336.jpg |

It looks awesome! :mdr: |
I looked for the threads that I posted here but the pics aren't linked anymore. They're still linked on the maxamps one. I have two LST's on with a custom top plate for a emaxx tranny, another that's was modded to fit a emaxx chassis. I have pics of both on there. Here's the thread for ya:
