Any members in SE Louisiana?

I got a new job and I'm moving to Baton Rouge next week, and I was wondering if any fellow brushless addicts were in the area?

Well, a few in new orleans area, and I am north of the lake, about 1 hour east of you. Squee is in BR. And someone else is too, just can't remember who.

We all ought to get together and bash at some point!

There's a track in Springfield, LA, which is in between us. They run races every Saturday. Here's a link to their website.

We should meet up there sometime.

Sounds good, that is just south of Hammond so I should be able to find it. What do you race?

My MBX5T, of course. Get that Mr. C. conversion finished and race me!

Oh my, that project is a few builds away. I have a hyper st that I could finish, but would like to run a MMM in. May have to try a neu motor out for that though. More money to spend...

I should have the crt finished soon (just need to start on it), not sure how competitive it will be. I can always give it a try. You are most likely a better racer than me, I mainly bash, and build, alot.

cart213 04.06.2008 03:02 AM

I doubt that I'm a better racer. I'm mostly a basher as well, but I definitely haven't built as many as you!

I really like to build, and consider myself a decent driver. I can control a 75mph 10th car, so the larger stuff seems easier. I have built a few, and am stil polishing my construction skills. I would like to build a complete tube baja style buggy, but just do not have the time. And I have too many unfinshed projects!

I don't think there is a website for it though. I used to race in the T-Maxx class there before I got hurt, but I haven't been out there in a while. I also heard that there is supposed to be a track under construction near the end of Veterans that is not too far from you guys.

Where is that? I am here in Metairie. I have never raced but I'd come see you guys.

The track in the link is right under the Luling Bridge. You can zoom out on the map to see exactly where. The one on Vets., I think, is at the Kenner end, but it's not built yet.

FYI, I'm going to the track in Springfield on Saturday. I think they're having a club race at 3:00.
