Cf Tire Weight

I just mounted my crime fighters with trimmed racers edge foams & 23mm st offset rims. I weighed them they came in at a real light 202 grams or 7 oz per wheel. Thats pretty good i just thought i would share this info with you guys.

The standard maxx size tire sidewall says 40 series, my understanding is that this is a manufacturing error . There is a new 40 series CF being released soon.

coolhandcountry 09.04.2005 11:43 AM

Kind of remind me of a bowtie. Just a little different tread. I think I remember something about them in another thread.

The CF tread is a bit more aggresive. It is not as wide as a Bowtie and supposedly offers better steering. The 40 seriesCF compared to the BT will offer a bit more sidewall.

More choices are good. Don't everything work for everybody or every track. I am always open for some new products. thanks papa

They say 40 series but they are'nt. They are the standerd maxx size, the 40 series CF's will be out in about a month i've heard. I decided to change the foams based on my previous experince with stock proline(foams to soft) You will need to trim about 1/3 of a inch off each side. What i did was put a sharpie marker on the table laid the foam on its side & spun the foam it marked it perefctly. They feel nice and stiff when they break in they will feel perefect i think. The CF is the all purpose tire in1/8 buggy, so hopefullf it will be like the in MT.

how they grip??
cuz i might get those instead of bowties for my MAxx

nitrostarter 09.05.2005 07:30 PM

how will they wear compared to the bowties is what I want to know. I run Bowties on every surface and they still have plenty of tread.

rchippie 09.05.2005 10:08 PM

I have'nt ran them yet so i cant comment on grip or wear. But i have heard on the grid, & ue forum's that they are very good.

Shadow350Z 09.05.2005 10:45 PM

yeah
I run my maxx on anykind of surface
grass
concrete
asphalt
woodchips
dirt
heck even on my kitchen floor

so yeah i need good grip and long wear
hope you get em running soon
