1995+ Watts on a Mamba Max

Hey there guys,

This past weekend, I got the courage to hook up 5S 5350mah Hyeperion to my MM and went drag racing geared 26/76 on a Lehner XL3100. All I can say is WOW. I couldn't give more than 60% - 70% throttle and still wheel spin galore! 51mph at 132' doing a wheelie the last 1/3 of the way.

But the biggest surprise was this: 1995 Watts @ 118 A!!! Simply amazing!

I have had great success with my mms (all 7 of them)!

I will be doing some speed runs this weekend and hope to go full throttle. I can't wat for the numbers from that. Will have some video also.

Wow that is impressive… wish I had the same luck with my MM.

Do you have temp sensors with your logger?

SunnyHouTX 04.16.2008 09:15 AM

I have a temp gage in my pocket and I bring the car back after every run to check temps.

On these runs, ESC was about 120*F, motor about 140*F, and Li-Po about 105*F.

Cool Beans Sunny. At least it didn't blow up like the last time with the A123's connected to it.

Ha ha. Yeah...

I seen 2,060watt peaks on mine with 5s and a 7xl. I got the eagletree on it but not at home right now

SunnyHouTX 04.16.2008 07:08 PM

Man, can you post that? I'm getting a 6XL for my E-Maxxx and I am tempted to run that on 5S on the Rustler geared to the moon.... and back!

crazyjr 04.16.2008 07:54 PM

I wish i could right away, But i have had to move and the computer is still at home. I wouldn't do a 6xl on either 5s or an MM, Much less both. The MM can handle 100 const. amps and 200 max amps, but i wouldn't ever consider a 6XL for a MT. I was over-revving the 7XL when i was running it

tashpop 04.17.2008 01:27 AM

man i wish i could go out there with you guys this weekend. i'd love to see what my car tops out at.

SunnyHouTX 04.17.2008 01:46 AM

No worries man, I do speed runs almost every weekend. Let me know when you get a chance and we'll meet up.
