david lamontagn 04.20.2008 06:43 AM

Forget the Ni-Mh batt and go for 6s li-po and go for the 10XL motor instead:yes:

Brushless-truck 04.20.2008 09:17 AM

cheers but i can afford lipo atm :/ it is on the to-get list though

and will the 10xl still be better on the nimh's ?

its going to be my bash truggy so speed isnt a must but would like it too keep up with the nitro's

Blunten 04.20.2008 09:29 AM

With the money you spend on those nimh, you can buy your self some cheap lipo

Exact, and if you still going with 18 cell ni-mh, the 9XL will be little too much rpm, the 10XL will give you cooler run and longer runtime.

Brushless-truck 04.20.2008 11:10 AM

yea i'm sticking to the 18cell batteries and i'll go for the 10xl cheers for the help!

jnev 04.20.2008 11:15 AM

Looks like a good plan to me. I would only replace the MGM ESC with a Monster Max ESC which will be out in a week or two.

Brushless-truck 04.20.2008 11:16 AM

mamba is out as soon as that :O

yea i'll go for that if its out before i have to order

Advice:
Forget NiMh diying technology, Only high tech NiMh's holding voltage under decent load. They will heat up like hell and cost you more than cheapo LiPo and not last long. In save of wight go LiPo in Decent charge time and robust durability go A123.
HC sells 4S 5000 zippy-H cells for $90 and they are pretty good, I dont have too many cycles yet about 10 but seems OK

Brushless-truck 04.20.2008 04:03 PM

can you please show me a link to theese li-po batteries?

Brushless-truck 04.20.2008 04:06 PM

also would like 4 packs and im on a really tight budget ive only got about $220 for batteries

isit possable to get lipo for that??

Blunten 04.21.2008 01:30 AM

Here you go: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6351 be sure to get a charger that charges lipo too. Oh, and you also need a balancer :)

tom255 04.21.2008 02:21 AM

Oh yeah I forgot to mention:
If you buy Feigao/Wanderer motor buy additionaly RC-Monster Heatsink Clamp
This keap mootor cooler for a while and hold motor together. Feigao and Wanderer have tendency fall apart in heavier impacts.
