So I finally got my revo running right today and was playing with it out by the pool and volley ball court with my friends. It got sideways and was headed for me so I was going to just jump over it but didn't quite get my bare feet high enough and my toe caught the roll bar. It was numb for a while but its starting to get the feeling back now and HURTS. It cut the end of my toe and bent the nail back.

What kind of injuries like this have yall had?

cry baby... this is my son after the neighbours dog said hello...

All turned out fine in the end...

How did the revo fair? I hope the rollbar wan't damaged...

That can be quite painful. The worst I have got is just a couple small scratches/bruises from trying to pull a screw/nut or something off the truck. However, I have seen some people have to get stitches from getting hit by there rc car...

I lost the entire toenail on my big toe (same toe). The rear diff in my old MT2 seized up, and went out of control at about 35mph into my toe

I'm glad everything turned out fine with your son.

And as far as cry baby, I think my profile picture shows i've been through worse than a messed up toenail. Car wreck left me with a subarachnoid hemmorhage :gasp:. 13 screws in my forehead later but i'm perfectly fine (and so is the rollbar )

I watched a fellow RC'er using a pair of needle nosed pliers to tighten a zip-tie, he slipped off and planted them in his forehead. We tried pulling them out but we couldn't do it (I think they wedge themselves in like a fish spear), he had to go to the hospital to get them out. No pic's but he still has the two little dimple scars hahahaha.

You and your friends shouldn't be allowed near tools by the sounds of it drknow.

I cut/bruised my foot on Sunday with my emaxx. My own fault for wearing sandals! I accidentally double pumped the brakes, and the quark went into reverse, and the skid rode up my foot. I cursed, loudly.

MTBikerTim 04.22.2008 01:52 AM

That's one of the reasons I hate reverse. I always double tap the brakes.

I took a 35mph launch and flew straight into my buddies arm. We thought I'd broke it, (his arm, that is). Turned out ok, just a nasty nasty bruise.

Didn't see your avatar as have them turned off - Serious stuff - Must be fun flying with airport security! Amazing what they can fix these days...

PS We have a Black lab - no way my wife would let anything happen to next doors dog ( grumpy golden retriever) we are all just a little more careful now.

My son was just trying to share a dog bone between the neighbours two dogs - He decided the grumpy one had enough and it was the other ones turn. He was used to doing this with our dog (who would just give you sad eyes), the neighbours dog went for him.

Anyway plastic surgen did a good job and no real permanent damage...

I must have had an  with me. There is no other way I would have survived that wreck. I'm very blessed. And it doesn't even go off in an airport. It will with a handheld detector though. Freaked on family out at the HTUSA a couple weeks ago .

And It great that they were able to fix up your son. Another example of amazing things doctors can do. He probably won't even have scars :yipi:

Nothing noticeable on his face... His ear was almost pulled off but the stiching was all behind his ear so doesn't show... He's still not afraid of anything which is great.

Ouch! One equation not mention to often, butt proven all the time E=mc2. I saw a guy shut off a nitro motor on a revo after the header broke off, by pluging the broke off header with his finger. I thought to my self later that dude didn't even seem to notice the intense heat. Thats one tuff r/c finger!
