$100.00 reward! to the first person who can help ME??
I’ll gladly pay anyone 100.00 Via Pay-pal if they can verbally walk me through in programming my MGM controller!. PM me if you interested
I’ll shoot you my cell number! And upon a properly working controller (forward, brake / reverse) I’ll gladly send you $100.00 that same day / that same hour! Heck I’ll do it 10 minutes after we hang up the phone. Thanks for your time Shaun. P.S. I have the 160 amp 24 cell Car / Boat controller (OPTO version) I had to buy and have installed an external CC 10amp BEC I have read the fricken instruction (15 times) and have tried everything I can think of!.. This is not a joke or a gag. I have spent / wasted too many hours of my life trying to get this thing to work and this is my last resort! |
i would jump on this, but i've only done mine a couple of times and i get confused everytime. i finially just got the cpu connections. i'll pass it on to somebody else.
|
(For what it's worth)
I've got the CC02 connection wire for the controller and the USBCOM+ for the connection to the laptop!. I've already installed the program into the laptop and my controller is recognized within the program. So I’m trying to make this is simple as possible for however can help! Thanks for your time |
Just be patient and go through the manual step by step. Or try the normal programming procedure; just read the manual, decide what programming options you like, and then program it step by step.

Here is what I have / what my existing condition looks like..

don't want to sound like a smart a$$ or anything and i understand that after a build like this you want to get this beast up and running ASAP, buuuut... why don't you sell the MGM, cut your losses, and get on the list for one of the first MMM's. I'm sure that would be way easier to program than the MGM...
just my 2 cents Can i have my $100 now  |

We’ll see.. Thanks again for the laugh.. Shaun. |
it's farely easy dude..
this means NEXT OPTION - press and hold FULL REVERSE, wait for BEEP, Let go of trigger to NEUTRAL, wait for BEEP BEEP (you repeat this as many times as the option number you would like, 4x if you want option 4) this means ACCEPT, SAVE, ENTER, GO TO NEXT PARAMETER - press and hold FULL THROTTLE, wait for BEEP BEEP, Let go of Trigger to NEUTRAL, wait for BEEP BEEP BEEP ( you must press this after every parameter) it's not that hard to do .. I've done it a million times... |
Hard
Hey it sounds like you have this down pretty well aquit, so why not just help him out and get him on the road? What may seem easy to one can be a PITA to others, because that particular aspect of the hobby just does not click for him as it does for you. One could say that setting up a jet engine is easy, but if you just do not understand it your sh(& out of luck unless you find someone who knows what it takes and is willing to help:yes:.

GOOD LUCK  jordan |
Ok.. That didn’t work!..
Just and FYI… Gentlemen.. I'm know I'm new to this forum (IE) “the newbie!!” But I'm not necessarily new to RC concept!. It just fricken kills me that I can build this machine from 100 different parts / scratch without any instructions but at the same time I can’t get a simple controller to function! These are the steps I tried prior to posting my total incompetence / contacting you the team for help!.. (Yes I’ve done / lets just cover the basics) I’ve Turned my radio on (Set your throttle and brake to 100%) and yes I’ve plugged in the BEC to my receiver first and make sure it is working the servos (Just to see if you are getting power). The controller switch must be off. I’ve then Plugged in my batteries into the controller. Hold full throttle and turn the switch on. Keep holding until you here 3 beeps and right after that grab full brake. I’ve done that which takes me to program mode, then I’ve shut everything down, hooked up all necessary wires and turned it back on and got to programming on my laptop. Here are my current settings Car <=I=> (forward and backwards) Brake / deceleration Light2 / 0.26s Acceleration 0.26s Timing automat behavior when battery voltage is low going down reduce RPM Battery type 6 Li-pol Range of the natural zone 3% Automatic correction of neutral No Freewheel NO Automatic brake in neutral light 2. These are my current setting. Then I hit write to Data and then turn everything off and unplug. Then when I plug it back on and turn it on.. It just blinks and beeps like it telling me I need to reprogram it?? I've even shut in down and restarted it, hold it wide open for 10 sec it beeps three time and I continue to hold in 5sec and beeps 4 times and move it too brake for one beep. This procedure (should reset all settings) same issue accurse.. Here are my radio settings.. Well I've got the Spektrum DX 3.0 2.4Ghz. I pulled the out my receiver from a working truck (to ensure it wasn't the problem) I've got the following settings on my DX3.0 TDB (throttle) 100% ST (steering) 100% ST L/F RB (steering left & right) 100% ST (steering) Norm BRK (Brake) 100% With the above said! I just got off the phone (IE) spent the last two hours with some great gentlemen who put there own sleep and wellbeing aside to help me overcome my issues. Extremely (valiant effort on there parts!) . But unfortunately we were just unable to get this thing going!.. It breaks my heart (kills me) but I have no choice but to send the controller to back to manufacture for review in latter today! I’ll probably just end up buying another controller or waiting for the infamous MMM form Mike as soon as they are available?. (Don’t know yet)! I just wanted to take the time and thank everyone!, who took the time out of their busy lives to forwarded over (great) suggestions and comments!!.. You guy truly ROCK!!!.. Thank you ALL sooooo much for your time!!! It’s times like this I feel extremely fortunate to part of your team and I thank you all for that privilege and honor!.. Have a great one Gentlemen!.. I’ll update the team once I received back my controller from MGM.. or purchase a replacement!.. I’ll post Vids of it first beating too.. Thank again for everything!.. Shaun. AKA (the Newbie).. p.s. I'm going to bed!.. It’s been a long day!.. |
Hey I will see if I can give some advice here. When you first program the controller to the receiver it seems like you almost got all the steps necessary:
The controller switch must be off. Then plugg in the batteries into the controller. Hold full throttle and turn the switch on. Keep holding until you here 3 beeps, grab full brake until you hear 1 beep, and then move to neutral until you hear 2 beeps. Then shut everything down, hook up all necessary wires and turn it back on and go to programming on your laptop. As for your programming options everything seems ok except that you should try settings the range of neutral zone to either 9% or 12% to begin with. Also you may want to try once with the type of model set to car |=> but thats only if you don't want reverse. And I like to set the Freewheel to YES but I guess that is just personal preference. If that still doesn't work then maybe try switching two of the motor to esc wires and see if it initializes. Otherwise it sounds like it could just be a faulty controller from the manufacturer. Hope it works out for you! |
Thanks
I'm reeaaalllly glad I read that last reply. Ive had my neo/16024 for 6 mos. and had almost given up. I never manually put the esc into programming mode. Only connected to pc, input my settings, and turned it on. After I read the reply I set the forward/neutral/reverse from the remote and that was it. Awesome power!!!! Now I only need to figure out how to stop it from flipping on its lid............lol. Much better problem to have to try and fix!!! THanks for your help. You guys are awesome.

You've got an PM TDC57:wink:
|
Good
It sounds like you may have some one on one attention for this thing. Please come back and let us know how it goes and what the resolution was. I have the MGM 160/24 comming and want to know what you came up with, because it may help me when I get ready to use it. Good luck TDC57.
