Lipo charging with the Hyperion 0610i

When I setup the battery type and it says 'Charge Current' what do I put?

From what I thought I read in the directions it says max Lipo charge is 2A. Even though this setting lets me turn it up to 10A.

I currently have only charged it with this set at 1A. Which took about 3+ hours to put in 3600Mah into my 8000Mah TR lipo battery.

Wha ya thing?

You charge lipo a 1c - 8amp for a 8000mah battery.

On the hyperion chargers you normally select lipo charge mode and then it actually asks for battery size (8000 in your case) and no of cells.

So I put the charge rate at 8A?

Would this be the standard 1c charge rate or the faster 2c?

And uhh, amp and current are the same thing so this is making no sense to me.

An amp is the unit of measurement for current. Just like volts is the unit for voltage, and ohms is the unit for resistance.

The C rating is simply a multiplier. So, 1C means you charge at 1 times the battery capacity rating. Since your pack is rated 8000mAh (which is the same as 8Ah), 8A times 1C = 8A.

A 2c charge rate would be 16A and is not recommended.
