First one off the production line...nice!

Nice! What are the inside dimensions of the battery box? And how many screws are used to attach it to the chassis? Are the screws included?

Looks fancy....
Why didnt they move the battery closer to the center dif to get the COG closer to the center of the buggy. Every bit counts in my mind when your talking about the heaviest part of the truggy. Looks cool though. |
It's about 6.75" long by 1.9" wide. It fits the long Enerland, NeuEnergy sized packs. The shorter Max Amps sized packs will work too with some spacers.
It uses all four motor mounting screws toward the rear. You can see part of the tray sticking out to line up with the inside motor mounting screws. It also uses the stinger mount screw in the front and couple of others. After I saw my picture here, I added the splash guard screw for some extra insurance. I had to drill/tap those myself. No, the screws are not included, but you should have them! It uses the original/extra screws from your no longer needed nitro stuff. It is tapped to fit those screws. It uses only existing holes so it can be changed back to nitro if you so desired...I don't desire. |

Nice tray... too bad it's probably $100 bucks, right?

Didn't knew tupperware was that expensive?

It's machined out of a block of Delrin, which is light, strong and probably expensive. I don't know the price. He had my truggy for a couple weeks to measure and fit the tray. In return, I got the first one and it was free. Fair trade, I think.
Yes, some of the RC Product Designs stuff is expensive, but it is pure quality. Locally, RCPD stuff is about all anyone uses. We have a very solid and growing conversion population. We had between 9 and 14 1/8 buggies for every race this past indoor season. Only 3-4 truggies, but that's 3-4 more than last year! |
