quick discharging question
im trying to discharge my 7 celll nimh , i know i want it down to .09 v each cell but what should the total volt be. i know its 5.4 for 6 cells.
|
you say 0.09V each cell. 7 cells. Thats 7 times 0.09 = 0.63V. I have a niggling feeling you actually meant 0.9V though, which is 6.3V for the pack.
If you did actually mean 0.09V (I think some people like to take their nimh cells right down near zero). Do them individual, because the slightest bit of unbalance in your pack will wreck one of the cells if you try and take it below 0V. |
ok thanks..i meant 0.9 which is 6.3. but who here owns a hyperion charger?? is the max discharge amps only 1? and to the right of that is the discharge volts...is that per cell or the whole pack?
|
I own a hyperion but its a 0610iDuo and can't discharge... so i dont know sorry :) Which charger do you have? in my manual they explained all that pretty clearly.
|
I just looked up a manual on the hyperion website and it says that you set the discharge cutoff for the total pack voltage. so 6.3V.
If you wanted to make sure, try and set it to be higher than 1.2V, if it goes higher, I think its pretty safe to assume its not talking about a single cell :P |
