STRANGE PROBLEM Emaxx BUILD
I 'm just finishing up install of a feiago 7xl motor, MM esc, castle Bec, running 2 maxamp 7 cell paks. when i pull the accelerator Fast and release it, the truck will accelerate on its own for about 1 to 2 secs. Im using the futaba 2.4 gig fast system. It does in for. or rev. If you accelerated slow it works ok. the esc settings are
punch 4 start power high motor timing normal motor type brushless Any suggestions would be appreciated |
I'll look in my manual, but I seem to remember something about one of the nitro assist functions being able to cause this...

Just noticed that was your first post :) Welcome to the forum!
You'll be suprised at how helpful the guys around here are. |
Check the ABS and Throttle Acceleration settings (pages 36-38 in your manual), you might also switch from PPM (standard) to HRS (high speed response) to get less delay (page 29).
Hope this helps... |
Welcome Emaxxnutt, told ya everyone is really quick and helpful in their responses.
You'll like it here alot! |
Drknow- i did change from ppm to hrs didnt help actually it ran longer on hrs when releasing trigger.
Yea S/N You did. And i appreciate it.. The only thing i did notice when the motor stopped running i got all three lights on the esc were on for a fraction of a sec. and then went yellow. Doesnt do it when you pull the throttle slow and release |
Have you got another receiver/transmitter you can test with this setup?
|
I think your start power is too high. If you expand the help (?) comments within the CastleLink application for that setting, you'll see a description that explains it requires a premium battery, cables, etc. to use that level. Personally I use low and still wheelie too much...
