3.5mm bullet connectors with housing

For years I was using the obvious tamiya connectors. then getting into racing I joined the real world and stepped into the Deans connectors. Which I have to say for the most part is great. But I kept wondering why no one ever used the bullet connectors when they are rated just as good if not better. Then after a few months Traxxas came out with a relief for the crappy Tamiya plugs and shortly after that LOSI started making a 2 pronged bullet plug of what I was looking for.
So for months of what I figured was only in my head. apperently someone who had the means and the money was able to capitolize on that idea.

Check it out! I picked a couple sets up already and wanted to let you know they were available if anyone else wanted them. Umm they also have some nice brushless gear as well.

Proteck RC aka Amainhobbies makes those.

Deans might be rated for a lower current than a 3.5 plug, but the contact resistance is way better, so it will outpreform a 3.5. the deans connectors simple have got what it takes. 3.5 plugs are rather weak to begin with. the ones you mentioned are ideal for brushless motors though. (smaller ones) it depends on the tollerances they accepted during production, how good they are.

It is funny, I was just talking on Saturday with Mike to create similar thing for 5.5mm connectors with polarity tab...<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

- Hopefully they will cover entire family

Even funnier, I just saw some 4mm plugs with the same connector housing- I too would like some 5.5mm ones.

Thats the ones, yep. Just seems much safer than relying on the heatshrink tube that you usually put on the connectors- if it slips back a little on the battery ones (female), the plugs can touch and short out.
