Seems like the 8ight is the most common buggy brushless conversion. Any idea why?

Your other post answered your question. Also, many find that they can get better left to right balance with the center diff offset to the right and heavy batts closer to center of chassis.

Still have a heap of people go on that it is a unforgiving buggy
