Mounting batteries & mattery trays... Let see pics!
One of my biggest issues with buiding an eRevo, is the mount of the batteries. Trying to keep the center of gravity low can be hard.
My initial mount and I'm sure probably 95% of everyone elses is just mounting a battery tray on top of the frame where the gas tank or something else use to be. I wanted something a bit lower and more towards the front to help keep the front end down. I I ended up grinding the right side frame that held the steering servo off. I then cut a slit in a homemade tray I made out of PVC, I set the tray so the frame would go into the slit and then used 2 sheet metal screw to mount it to the frame. In these pics you can only see the back slit, under the foam it is slit for the frame. It was kind of a spur of the moment type of job that took me about 30 minutes, but I think it came out good, the concept came out better than my battery tray as you can see its a bit deformed. its real sturdy though... Lets see some trays! Pics please......!!! This is a True Rc 4s2p 8000Mah, its a pretty big battery and its sitting pretty low. <a href="http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/?action=view¤t=tranny024.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/tranny024.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/?action=view¤t=tranny025.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/tranny025.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/?action=view¤t=tranny027.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/tranny027.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/?action=view¤t=tranny028.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/tranny028.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/?action=view¤t=tranny020.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/tranny020.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/?action=view¤t=tranny019.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r272/Trick440/tranny019.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> |
