MM Pro... "When"

Ive heard rumors of a MM Pro that is suppose to be coming out soon. Is this true and whats suppose to be new on it? Im guessing protected caps, better heatsink "Sidewinder style", USB port filled in so you can program it threw the j-connetor. Im really interested to know when.?

Hmm interesting. I am waiting for the MMM-HV...if their is such a thing ever. Don't know why the manufacture hasn't built one yet.

I think I've bugged Castle a few times for an HV controller for us car guys.

Same here....and going to keep doing so until something comes out.

IIRC the MMPro was the new version of the M25 in the new packaging on the castle site.

From the castlelink software there was nothing else due...

The SHV and Pheonix ice were in there IIRC.

I believe there will be a new version of the link out when the MMM comes out to provide 5s/6s cutoffs.

Rgds

PS PdC said he didn't mind me digging - just for me not to hack the controller software...

Thats not the esc we are talking about, were talking about the Mamba Max Pro, not the micro

Five-oh-joe 05.01.2008 04:48 PM

There is no Mamba Max Pro. There is only the Mamba Micro Pro. People see the shortened version "Mamba Pro" and immediately think it's a 1/10 ESC...:intello:

I agree with above as per my posts and looking at the castle link settings - see my posts in cc area.

I actually do expect in time there will be a slight re-work of the MM to go to the cross drill heatsink and maybe new packaging.

I don't think it will add much - IMO the MM is a bit squeezed between the sidewinder and the MMM - I think when pricing beds down however that it's place will be clearer.

With those specs (5s and BEC) and a smaller lighter footprint (sans usb and new "fan friendly" heatsink) I don't think I need the MMM.

serious.

rschoi_75 05.02.2008 11:35 AM

hmmm... interesting. The specs sound good. Anyone have a projected release date? I'm assuming everything is speculation right now, but a ballpark eta would be nice.

jhautz 05.02.2008 11:59 AM

Pick a date. Ay date. Its as good of a guess as anyone else has.

I haven heard anything about such a controller as of yet, but I agree it would be an ideal 1/8 buggy controller. I have already asked castle for it. I asked Mike for it too. He agreed it would be an ideal 1/8 buggy controller. He said he would see if he could get CC could do a "RCM spec" controller. I would think if anyone could drive enough volume for CC to justify a "special" controller it would be Mike.

I wouldnt hold my breath on it though, thats for sure.
