I hope Mike will bring this neu version here.
It's look great motor in the pic |
Nice job man, there's a lot of work in that car... chassis, everything...
The motor clamp mount is very cool, and I like the side guards (velcro friendly for the body.... something I've asked for for the Fusion car) Did you have this at RCX?? |
That is really impressive. I love the motor mount too. I must admit I would prefer it with out the clutch but I suppose that acts as the slipper.
|
The idea looks good. I would be interested to see what it weighs. Looks like it my be a bit on the heavy side, when you factor in the 2 piece motor mount, clutch assy, brake servo and other parts.
Personally I would prefer Mike's slipperential and a solid pinion. That provides better control for me, and the slipper would give the motor some shock resistance. The tekno battery tray looks good, a make my own trays that work in a similar fashion. For the price the conversion looks good. I really like the neu motors. Larger bearings and a sealed can, I have a feeling that tekno will sell a few of these, until the castle neu motors come out... |
I like the motor mount but would prefer not to have to use the clutch.

It's a beautiful setup, looks well balanced, and has manual brakes which, imo, are the only way to go for racing. Great for those who aren't ahead of the curve and are starting from scratch. However, for those who have been into brushless 1/8 scale conversions it has the same two drawbacks as the their Revo conversion(which I am currently running): 1) the battery tray is too small for 20 or 25c enerland cell packs and 2) imo, the clutch is much more of a pita than it is helpful. The best thing about it is that it will undoubtedly bring more folks into the 1/8 scale electric game and expedite the point in time where every track has plenty of racers to field 1/8 scale electric classes.
Good job Tekno! |
Looks very nice. Great chassis layout. Very polished looking kit. I wounder if the MMM will fit on the esc platform and still have the body go on. I'm beting no. Only 2 things I can see wrong with it. The clutch can go for sure and its on the Losi. If the come out with other brands without a clutch. I will be very interested.
Nice job Tekno. |
Is it me or does that motor sound like it will be similar to the mMonster motor due out in a few months.. Bigger bearing and sealed can .... But hand built by Neu sound better than made in china .....

Hey guys,
Glad to see some excitement about the new products. We've worked real hard on these to make them best they can be. To answer a few questions: Yes, the motor mount will be available for 36mm cans (Novak, Medusa, Feigao, others), 40mm cans (Neu smooth can), and 44mm cans (Neu finned, Hacker, Align XL). The only odd ball is Mega - their motor can is 36.2mm instead of the standard 35.8. We wanted a close fit for the others so they will have to be used with the 40mm mount. Yes, there will be V3 Brushless Kits for other vehicles in the future. It won't be too hard to guess which ones. There should be plenty of room for the MMM. The MMM is about the same height as the MM with a fan, and that fits fine. BTW, you can fit a BEC, personal transponder, and a bunch of the servo wires underneath the radio tray for a clean layout. Components will be available together as a kit or separately if people just want the mount or whatever. No solid release date at this time, but we're not too far away. |
Is the Neu 1512 2.5d/finned available with the Tekno specifications (larger bearing, sealed enclosure, etc....)
