What is everyones thoughts on the Venom BL System that will be coming out Mid May - Early June?
Here is a little run down on them
The Venom 120 amp Pro Brushless ESC is compatible with all sensored and sensorless brushless 540 motors as well as all 540 brushed motors and comes supplied with a programming card to allow you to adjust up to eleven individual parameters. Featuring a high efficiency cooling system that includes an aluminium heat sink and cooling fan to keep operating temperatures in check it comes pre wired with 14 gauge wire to ensure minimal power loss, has a compact footprint and works well in on and off-road applications. Venom have also released some competition 540 BL motors which are compatible with today’s most popular sensored brushless speed control systems, including LRP and Novak. The new motors feature CNC machined aluminium cans with ventilated front end bells, dual ball bearings and integrated cooling fans for high efficiency cooling. All motors have sintered magnets, adjustable timing, easy solder wire terminals and are fully rebuildable. Venom 540 Brushless Motors are available in 13.5T, 9.5T, 8.5T, 7.5T, 6.5T*, 5.5T*, 4.5T*, 3.5T* turns. (*includes integrated cooling fan).

Lutach know quit a bit this setup ;).

It's the brushless ESC named "Xerun" designed and manufactured by HobbyWing.

The GT Speedpassion (import by Schumacher) is basically the same stuff with few more options in the software.

It work great and many competitor in 1/10 scale found in this one a true alternative to the common LRP and Novak system

Lol wow, I guess the venom isnt an original design...

I don't think anything from Venom is original design. Simply re-branded and price doubled.

Look at their helis - re-branded Walkera's for nearly twice the price.

Very solid controller, smooth, easy to use. I'm currently using mine in my TC3 Truggy with 4S lipos and the HV4.5. I did 2 videos of the controller in my TC3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaquBD-lr6E and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2uIjw_ct08. I'm still waiting to see if HW will make the controller I asked them to make, if not I'll be helping another company produce a car controller and hopefully it'll be better.

Anyone know who actually owns venom? It would seem to me like greatplanes/tower has a heavy hand in them, but maybe I am wrong.

I though that ESC looked familiar though, now I know why.

Venom reminds me of trinity. Bad quality & nothing is made by them directly...

Nice find, for the price of what the are you would have to be crazy to go one of these over the MM Setup

I like how I can run a sensored or sensorless motor. The MOSFETs used in the HW is top quality. I still have not been able to over heat this controller. I used the same set up as I had with my MM that was actually making it thermal. I now have upped the pinion tooth count to 32T and the HW still handles that. I'm actually defending HW for making a solid controller, but their business ethics is not really good.
