Brain Fart
I have the Hyperion 0610 charger with builtin balancer, and when I had would try to use the charger I would hook up the balancer and try to charge I would get the battery not connected message. I was getting very fustrated, I had called Max Amps, posted on various message boards including the MaxAmps one and got no where. I had always charged through the balancer with my Hyperion LBa6 so This is what I was trying to do with the 0610. I also have a Flightpower balancer for my 6s pack which enables you to charge and balance at the same time, so I tried the same thing with the Hyperion and use the balancer and charge through the charge leads, now it works great.....This made me feel pretty stupid, but at least it works now

For some reason, the 0606i has to be connected in a certain sequence or you get that error. My 1st 5s1p a123 pac I built - I kept getting the same error and thought I had put the balance harness on wrong - was the way I was trying to connect.
With the output leads plugged into the charger, turn the charger on. Connect balance tap, then connect the batt power leads to charger. Set charge parameters and start charging. |
I hear people talk about this but I can hook my batteries up in any sequence I please and it always recognizes them.. maybe they make it easier with the newer duo charger?

I had connected the battery to the charger via the charge leads, than I connected the balancer to the charger than the battery....
