How did the wire get mangled?

DRIFT_BUGGY 05.04.2008 06:32 PM

What were you doing to cause that?

Mike_D 05.04.2008 06:33 PM

I think when the motor pulled out it must have pull the black wire really hard, at least that's my best guess.

Mike_D 05.04.2008 06:35 PM

This is what i was doing.

the motor fried now?

DrKnow65 05.04.2008 06:40 PM

Are you sure you can't just slide the housing of the motor back togeather (did the rotor get into the windings)?

Mike_D 05.04.2008 06:48 PM

Yeah it looks like the windings did take some damage. I think it may be toast. Oh well i have had this motor for sometime now and i paid about $80 two years ago so i'm not too sad about it. Time to move on and get something else to get me running again. I was thinking about a Neu 1515 1y or just Wanderer 7XL. I'm just a basher and not a racer.

big greg 05.04.2008 06:50 PM

i just bought a 1515 1y cant wait to see how it does!

That makes sense. You should grab yourself one of the tekno motors.

Yeah that would be nice i hope they release them soon. If i do decide to go down the Neu route i would like one the Teknos just because the endbells are sealed, that's the one reason that i don't want to buy one of the standard ones. I may just get the Wanderer for now just to get back running and get the Tekno when it's available.

_paralyzed_ 05.04.2008 08:43 PM

Would a kb45 fit the tekno mount? Tons of power for little money. Just needs a little modding.(6mm shaft, 4mm wider spaced mounting holes)

dirt101 05.04.2008 08:57 PM

I think that would be to much torque in a revo. and weight?

what does an XL bk45 weigh anyways?
